Eternal Companion

This is a book about human experiences of Divine love - Sri Ramakrishna's love towards Swami Brahmananda, Swami Brahmananda's love for Sri Ramakrishna and his disciples, and Swami Prabhavananda's love for his guru, Swami Brahmananda. They all talked about love for God and having God realization, and Sri Ramakrishna was eternally with God always in his human form, Swami Brahmananda had many experiences of direct God experience, and so did Swami Prabhavananda. It is not their mystical experience that is exceptional, it is their ability to love everyone around them, to uplift everyone's minds so everyone around these holy men felt joy and calm. One of the most memorable passages for me - "After his passing away, we all had the feeling that Maharaj was intensely present within us. He was closer to us than ever before. As long as Maharaj was in the physical body there was a barrier. Afterward that barrier was gone. More than 40 years have passed since that day, and every disciple can bear witness to the fact that Maharaj still lives, protects, and guides him onward towards the goal."

This is the story of Rakhal (Swami Brahmananda) a devout boy who became a disciple of Shri Ramakrishna. Rakhal was an advanced soul who was led by God to the Master, along with Naren (Swami Vivekananda). The book describes his life, his time as President of the Ramakrishna Math, and some of his teachings. He was called Maharaj later in life, due to his being in communion with God. These men are God realized souls, not materialistic, but devout. I don't want to do a book review, but if you are spiritual, you'll enjoy this book.

Excellent book. Will read this over and over again. Truth expounded in a simple way. One should also read Gospel of Ramakrishna along with this

Each time the depth of love and holiness emanates from the life of this disciple of Ramakrishna.I bought this eBook version to assist in researching my own book, "The Eternal Religion -- Glimpses of Divine Glory."My thanks to Swami Prabhavananda for writing this history.I am ever grateful!

Brahmanana was the spiritual son of Ramakrishna. Swami Prabhavananda brings his character to life. You have a flavor of the life of one of Ramakrishna's closest disciples. I did not want to finish this book and put off finishing it for several days.

Swami Prabhavananda has described some of his reflections about swami Brahamanandji ,his own Gurudeva and first President after swami vivekanand of Sri Ramkrishna Math , belur The book gives idea about life of one who was considered to be spiritual son of sri Ramkrisna .

Reading this book,one can experience's God. It is for daily reading and contemplation.
