Dog Cooling Pad Dog Cooling Products Hydro Cooling Mat for Small/Medium Dogs

We live in Phoenix AZ where temperatures are 110F+ are typical in the summer months. We have a Chi-Terrier who likes to hang out by the pool with us on these ultra hot days so we’ve been looking for an effective cooling mat for a while now. We have tried gel cooling mats but they’re not effective for this kind of desert heat, and they fail quickly. We found this mat and tried it today outside and it was a game changer for keeping our dog completely cool! The cooling pad folds in half so was easy to fit into our freezer and our dog took to it right away, it’s very cushy and she even slept comfortably on it, in a well shaded area of course while we took a dip, we were amazed! Very satisfied, WAY better than gel cooling pads! Highly recommended!

I bought this for my golden on long car rides because she overheats. It is easy to put together with the ice. When we tried it the first time, our golden drank too much water too quickly and immediately threw up on it while I was laying it down for her. It wiped right off with no issues. It is made of tough material. It got extremely cold and cooled her off in half the time. It is expensive and that is the only downside.

I have an 11 month old 44lbs goldendoodle who doesn’t tolerate heat and has anxiety. He wasn’t sure what to think about the mat at first. I had to give him treats and encouraged him to lay on it. After about a week, he figured out the value of the mat on his own. Now we can’t live without out it. I have three sets of ice and we rotate them day and night. Not only does it help him cool by off, but it has become a way to help him manage his anxiety. I think the cool sensation helps him relax. He just took it to boarding and the trainer said he is laying on it all the time. I don’t usually write Amazon reviews but this is the most amazing thing I have ever ordered! I will add that my puppy prefers hard flat surfaces to fluffy beds. I’ll also add that two squares seems a little small but gets the job done. There is always some part of him hanging off the mat a bit. I could add two more but that would be a lot of ice to manage so I will keep it to two squares.

These mats were excellent for my cats in the extreme Arizona heat this summer. The cover is constructed of heavy duty fabric with reinforced edges that help the pads to keep their shape over time and also reduces the chance of tearing. I like both of the insulation pads included that help to keep them cold longer. These mats also have a cool touch to them when used near my air conditioner even without ice inside.But I don't like the included "ice cube sheet". It takes up a lot of room in my freezer but doesn't stay frozen or cold for more than an hour. So instead, I purchased other soft blue ice packs that stay frozen longer. These worked well with the mats to keep my cats cool for several hours. And my cats enjoy laying on the mats whether the temperature is hot or cold. I think these may work in the winter to keep them cozy with a hot water bottle inside. Another bonus with these is they cover and protect a large portion of my sofa. I highly recommend these!

My pup loves her cooling mat. Only down side is it only works for about 3 hours outside. I have to refreeze it throughout the day. Durable, material is great! I recommend, works great!

Although it sounded good in the description, there are a number of mini steps when putting together. The "ice cube" level didn't keep frozen as long as I had hoped so had to refreeze more often. They also felt quite thin. A future leak seems inevitable. Just more messing around with than I had wanted. Cooling is fairly light. I found preferred items which work better for my needs.

I have tried many of the gel cooling mats as well as different cooling coats/fans before this. I don't know why I hadn't heard of the Coolerdog sooner- it would have saved me a lot of money! It feels and looks durable, dries quickly after being hand wiped of any mud/dirt from the day and while it does get some condensation buildup my dog does not come out of crate wet. The ice packs are easy to fold and Tetris into a cooler so you always have frozen ones throughout your trial day. 65# long coated heat intolerant dog. 2 pack mat fits great in XL ruffland and fits snug but fine in 36" wire/softside crate. 8 total ice packs to alternate through worked well for an outdoor 80ish degree crate from vehicle hunt test day.Cons: Only thing I can come up with is I don't love the snap together system. Not enough of a gap for a foot to get stuck or anything but doesn't stay together well when pulling it out of crate. The Velcro holds strong but the edges are, as expected, already getting packed with hair.Fun tip: a single mat fits perfectly on a standard chair for sitting on ringside in the summer!

Cooling effect by freezing the water pack is not suitable for humid country like Singapore. Not viable as there is lot of condensation on the bed (pic). Otherwise quality is not bad, slight cooling effect with the water pads but not cooler than my marble floor. Sad as i really wanted it to work for my furkid. Manufacturer should also consider to make it bigger, as the size is awkward for typical mid size dog (getting 2 would be odd and too big).
