Pros: Installation is straight forward. It's very sturdy and firmly stays on the wall. The wire rope has protective plastic over it, which is really to protect the wire rope from the locking mechanism. Cons: Taking it off the wall, specifically the clips at the opposing ends were extremely difficult. I had to bend both metal frames, dragging the screws out of the drywall to get the clips off. You have to slide a small flathead screw driver to push a catch off the frame, but it didn't work on either clip. I will have to bend the frame back into shape before reinstalling these in the new apartment. Overall, I would purchase it again.

These clothes lines are fabulous! I bought 2 and they hold so many clothes and are extremely sturdy! Wish I had these years ago, what a huge upgrade from free standing racks!

Item mounted to the wall securely and I like the aluminum backing - very solid. I have a slight concern on how well the retracting of the cable will go over the long run. When released, it doesn't pull the cable in very quickly and I believe it has a higher likelihood of slowing down in the future after many uses. This is of course speculation, however would like to see stronger retraction of the cable.

When I moved into my house several years ago, it came with this nifty plastic retractable spool of vinyl cable that was attached to the wall in the laundry room. I didn't get to enjoy it in its fullest for long, because eventually part of it broke down and this resulted in the vinyl or whatever material cable either not staying taut or sagging slowly and my hanging clothes would be almost or actually touching the floor. Much more recently, the cord snapped altogether and everything came crashing down. This BESy retractable clothesline is the answer to all my problems. It was very easy to install, taking probably 30 minutes total, including measuring for placement, drilling to install the anchors and screwing all three pieces of the device in. I'll be honest, I hate doing laundry and I don't like running all of my wash through the dryer, so I often end up with a ton of clothes to hang up. I have used this product several times to hang my clothes and it has performed flawlessly! My only regret is not getting this sooner! -Mike

We have a tiny apartment with very limited space. Laundry is so expensive to do, so we have a portable washer and we had a clothes rack, until it got mold in it and it had to go! So when I ventured onto Amazon to find a small-space friendly clothesline, and stumbled upon this retractable clothesline I thought it was perfect. My husband did buy different anchors because of the reviews saying that the anchors it comes with we’re not strong enough, we used some metal ones and put it up on our wall and it fit perfectly. We can even cover it up with our mirror when we’re not using the hook up part, And we put it above our thermostat so it just looks like another utility in our apartment. It is barely noticeable! Love love love that it takes no closet space or storage space, just what we needed! The only things I would complain about is the anchors, and that it is not very taught, even if it is locked in place.

Needed a smaller sized clothes line to hang undies, socks, etc., and found this Retractable Clothesline to fit my needs. It's mounted on the shorter walls running across the walkway -- but mounted up high (about 7-feet so). We're short in our family so the extended lines do not pose a problem walking back and forth. Love the fact that I can take the lines down and hide them in box on the opposite wall. Five stars for durability, quality and looks. Four stars for installation only because I had to have a handyman hang this up on the wall which sits over the counter next to my washer/dryer. I don't plan on hanging blankets or heavier items on this line so I don't know if it would hold up to that kind of wear and tear. This product is extremely well made, well packaged, and shipped in a very timely manner. Highly recommend this product!

At first, it seemed like it was going to be a wise choice... The reviews were promising, the features seemed adequate. However, when it came time to attach the seemingly sturdy housing to the Metal bracket that ties it all together, The cheap, plastic holder proved itself to be ill-designed and inadequate to its intended function. It failed to secure the product to the wall in any meaningful way. I was taken by surprise by how such an otherwise well engineered product could drop the ball. It's really too bad... I don't blame the engineer though, I BLAME the guy he/she reports to that said, "yea... let's do that". Don't bother buying it... you'll be VERY disappointed!

The big selling point was that you don't need to drill holes and they provide glue. I received it without any glue so reported that to the seller who told me it got taken out at customs and basically told me it doesn't work anyways. Then I was offered a 5£ discount or to send it back to china. Very disappointed because it also took over 2 weeks to arrive and all the instructions were written in chinese. It literally presents itself as a drill free product all over but then doesnt deliver on that promise.

Looking for a solution to drying clothes inside and this is the perfect solution for a laundry room. It is retractable, barely noticeable, but esthetically pleasing. Have had it for almost a year and use it weekly to dry everything! Easy to install. The tension remains in place even with 3 pairs of jeans! I have it set from one side of my small laundry room to the other (approx. 7 feet) and each line can hold 2 pairs of pants and 3 shirts. The only downside is that the line is thin so there is sometimes a crease where the line is. It is not on all clothes, just a few items. I prefer hanging each item over, you could use pins to eliminate the crease. Great quality item. This was money well spent!

Excellent solution to drying your clothes when living in an apartment. My previous drying rack was problematic in the sense that my clothes would touch the ground when hung, catching dirt. There was also very limited space to hang my clothes. With this retractable clothesline you can install the line at your preferred height and each line holds up to 20kg. Installation was no issue and I even managed to install it on a brick wall. My only hope is that it does not rust as I have placed it outside and the recommendation is for it to be kept indoors. For $84AUD it’s a no brainer.
