Great series!
The books just get better and better! I love the character development and storyline. The whole story is fresh and new compared with similar books. The world that was created for the demons, the friendship, the twists, danger and adventures keep me on the edge and wanting to read this series straight through to the end.

I’d like to start by saying that Sarra Cannon is a great author
I’d actually stopped purchasing ebooks after the Kindle process became tedious, returning to my first love of paperbacks. Plus I don’t have as much leisure time for reading. But I came across the first 3 books free and said why the hell not, thank goodness for the algorithm!I’d say the most recent fantasy/paranormal series’ I’ve read would be the All Souls trilogy or Dragon Hearts Legacy. But I hadn’t read such an extended ya series since Pittacus Lore, and let me tell you I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Lorien Legacies and all stories that branched off from the original. I recommend it every chance I get on Reddit. So let’s talk about what the above books have in common with the Shadow Demons Saga. Great world building!!! When I talk about great world building, I mean the author was so thorough in her description it played out like a film before my eyes! You have to go to her website to get the exact reading order, but I think 1-6 is like part one. When I tell you I CRIED when I got the finale of book 6, I mean BUCKETS, I should’ve been embarrassed because I’m a grown woman but it was just so well done. Now books 7-10 were different, as a reader I became naturally suspicious of everyone’s motives and also felt like there were moments the characters ignored things that they clearly took a moment to take notice of, this part annoyed me. This book in particular made me slightly emotional, no buckets just teary eyes because Magda has a great story arc. I think the best thing about Harper, our mc, is her empathy, and kindness, and her belief that a person can be redeemed. It really resonated with me, especially in the world we live in.These are great books that are paced very well, not too short or long, it’s in the sweet spot. Sarra does a great job of keeping you hooked and thirsting for more. This could be a bad thing if you’re like me and lose sleep because you can’t put a book down. I was only able to pace myself because I was switching between ebooks and paperback. I’m caught up and impatiently waiting for book 12 which is supposed to be the finale…I guess I’ll go back and read all those side stories I skipped

AMAZING AND SUSPENSEFUL!
I love this book! It is one of the best in the series, although they are all really great books! Deceiving Darkness zooms in on Harper, Jackson, Lea, and Aerden for the most part. All of the main characters come in and out of the chapters, but by the end you will be left wanting more… more answers. This book digs deep into the bonds between the demons while questioning if their could be an enemy who’s made their way to the inner circle. Can allies become enemies and enemies become allies? Can hidden love save the day? After you start reading, you won’t want to put it down?

Almost Perfect
Sarra is extremely good and picking up the story right where the last book left us while throwing us back into this other world immediately. There's never really a lull in the beginning of the books she writes but it isn't over-the-top thrown into yet another disaster plot either. It's a fantastic balance. In the first half of the book there is a flaw (I think it is a Lea chapter) where the wrong twins name is mentioned. I reread over it multiple times to make sure I wasn't misinterpreting the reading. In the entire book that is the only mini flaw I caught though. Harper's chapter's are easy to tell apart from other characters, but Aerden, Lea, and Jackson's sometimes get confusing. That is the price we pay when we are reading 4 different POV's in one book though and they're all very close to one another. For the last few books I have tried thinking about what could she think of next? There's no way to top that! Annnnnnddddd theeeennnnn Sarra does. I'm going to be sad when the series ends but I'm also dying to know how it will. It pains me to say this, but Sarra, take your sweet time coming up with something great and beautifully written.

Fast Paced
I felt like I got through this so FAST!! There was so much action and suspense. The only reason for a 4 stat rating is because this is book 10 in a serial, repeating stuff from the other 9 books, I feel, was not necessary. I actually hate it when serials do that. For me, its like fluff to boost the word count. I understand it may serve a purpose of refreshing memories but I still dont like it.Overall, this IS a 5star book. I loved all the twists and turns in this one especially after what happened toward the end of book 9. I was so upset about that, I took a haitus from this series lol. Anyway, I cant wait to see what happens next!

Great book
I absolutely loved this installment in this series. There were plenty of twists and turns. I guessed a major twist halfway through the book, but wasn't disappointed in the resolution. As I finished the book, I realized that I hadn't read Franki and Rends story. As soon as I finish book 11, I'll be doing into that series. Great job Sarra.

Better and better
I love reading this series of books this book took me 1 full day of non stop reading I couldn't put it down with twists and betrayals around every corner it was gripping can't wait to see what happens next with the high priestess. Will she turn out to be a fae perhaps? Or something we've never seen before? And I'm so happy that the ruby priestess has actually become one of the good guys I would like more character development for her to see her history or at least some part of her explained maybe the extent of her powers? Also what will aerden and jackson find past the storm? Will they make it through the storm with the new strange magic they have inside? So many questions but I know that I will be reading all of these books so many times to possibly pick up some previous details that make me think. Altogether great book showing Harper as more of a leader than just a fighter or just trying to survive she's grown along with many of the other characters (leas and aerdens chemistry though ;) ) would recommend to everyone but need to read all the way through to build relationships with characters to understand the plot and story points of each book :)

Amazing book and series
I love this book and series. Bought some of the original series years ago when I was a young teenager, and loved the books then. Have just read them again and purchased the new ones to catch up, think I love the series even more than before. The characters are likeable, each with a unique personality, and unlike some longer series's, it doesnt feel overdone or drawn out. Cant wait for the next book release to find out what happens next
