Great bargain for a basic scope
I purchased this scope to mount on a Kel-Tec SU-16 (5.56) to overcome the limitations of the inadequate factory iron sights and the challenges of shooting with a combination of nearsightedness and astigmatism. Having just bought the rifle and wanting a compact scope, but not wanting to commit to expensive optics right away, I couldn't argue with a price of $25 shipped. As it turns out, I may not have any need to upgrade to a more expensive scope unless it's for substantially more features. However, if you're considering this scope and seeing a lot of four- and five-star reviews, keep in mind that this is still an extremely basic model and thus pretty light on "bells and whistles" compared to more expensive scopes. That disclaimer aside, the value is incredible, especially considering that lens covers and mounting rings are included. The rings are on par with the $10-15 Weaver rings I've bought for scopes on other guns, and so far have been completely solid after roughly ~100 rounds. As others have said, adjustments are easy - no tools or coins required - and the eye relief is perfect even with prescription glasses on. The first time at the range with this scope, it did take quite a while to get sighted in, as it was shooting quite high. However, this was easily corrected, and the scope has held zero since then. For the aforementioned reasons, I'm not expecting to be incredibly accurate with ANY scope, but I am able to get consistent groupings from 100 yards with a bench and 50 yards without, and plan to try shooting under different conditions every chance I get. Follow-up shots are quick and easy (assuming you aren't shooting in near-darkness) and the reticle shows up quite well, although I personally don't have much use for a rangefinding reticle. I doubt I could do much better with a more expensive scope without getting new eyeballs, although I will probably try something with adjustable power and illumination eventually. The options for budget scopes increase dramatically at around the $40-60 range, not only from AIM Sports but also from NcStar, UTG/Leapers, Barska and numerous other manufacturers, but based on my experience with this scope, I would not have been disappointed paying twice as much for it. It's definitely a solid entry-level scope, especially if you want something compact for a carbine.

Perfect for the Savage Rascal
I looked and looked for a small scope for the Savage Rascal. The aperture sights on the Rascal are great, but my young shooters were having a hard time with them. I wanted them to enjoy shooting more (by getting more hits) and have to worry about getting a perfect sight picture less. They will have plenty of time to learn to shoot with iron sights, but this gun is about learning gun safety and the joy of shooting. I wanted a scope that would fit the very small gun and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. I tried a few others, including an inexpensive red dot and a cheap .22 scope for Walmart. The red dot had wicked paralax problems and the Walmart scope had rings that fit a .22 scope mount, not the Savage Rascal picatinny mounts. I was a bit worried about the quality of this scope, because of the low price, but the reviews were good, so I gave it a try. I am glad I did. This scope is exactly the right size for the Rascal. It allows the bolt to move freely and allows the gun to be loaded with no problems. It has appropriate eye relief (approximately 2.5 - 3") for small shooters and the short stock. The sight picture is clear and bright. Setting zero was quick and easy and it seems to hold zero perfectly. The 4X magnification is reasonable for plinking from 50 to 200 yards. Please keep in mind when purchasing - This is a tiny, fixed power scope with very short eye relief. It is probably only appropriate for small guns with very light recoil (airguns and .22's). I only have two very small gripes, but they do not really tarnish my opinion of this scope. First, the adjustment knobs were a bit tight - which will probably lend to better accuracy over time, but made adjustments a bit uncomfortable (I used a leatherman rather than wear my fingers out). Second, the crosshairs could be thinner. They seem to cover a bit more of the target than is necessary. I was still able to reliably shoot 1" target stickers at 100 yards, but the stickers were completely covered at that range.

Handles recoil and holds zero.
When buying a $25 scope, the most important factors are going to be that it: A) It keeps zero B) It handles recoil. This scope does both, and well. I have it mounted on an SU-16A in 5.56 with Nikon P-Series rings, because I had those rings lying around and they provide a limited see-through for the low profile iron sights. I DID NOT USE THE SUPPLIED RINGS. The recoil of the SU-16 is heavier than an AR-15, somewhere between an AR and AK recoil. It has held up to about a hundred rounds of mixed 5.56 and 223, and is as accurate as the rifle and shooter allows. If it can handle being slammed back and forth by a gas piston in a very light rifle, it will handle almost anything. The cons: The glass is not good for light gathering, and definitely not as clear as a $300 scope (did you expect it to be?). Not a problem during the day, but you can't see through the scope well either indoors in low light or at night. Fine for outdoor shooting at 100 yards. The see-through lens covers supplied make this worse if you don't take them off, as both are plastic and one is tinted yellow. The last issue is the thickness of the cross-hairs, approximately 1" at 100 yards (2" at 200yds, 3" at 300yds). In my opinion this is a plus, it helps with rangefinding, but the crosshairs may obscure your target a little at longer range. TLDR: It's a great scope for $25. durable, not fantastic glass quality but accurate and holds zero. Would be a great budget addition to any AR or light rifle.

Good scope for very reasonable cost.
Bought this scope for a Marlin .22 rifle to replace a "normal" length 3-9x40 scope. I needed a shorter scope and this one seemed to fit the bill. It came with rings, but I guess I should have checked the Q&A's first, because the rifle had 3/8" dovetail mounting, and this scope came with a picatinny mount. No big deal, I just took the rings off the other scope, and that worked. One problem with this was, that the scope was positioned very forward on the rifle, and I had to lean in to the scope to get within the 2-3' eye relief. A few dry runs at home, and a standing position, didn't pose too big of a problem with relief, so I took the package to the range to get it sighted in. Took me a couple of mags worth to get it sighted in at about 20 yards (OK, about 50 rounds :)... ), but when I got it adjusted correct it was right on the money. I emptied one mag (10 rds) at bench rest, and I could cover all hits with a Quarter, which for me is pretty impressive, since I am by all accounts only an average shooter. One issue did come up, and it was the pesky eye relief. At bench rest it was hard to get my eye close enough to the scope, so I had to order a picatinny rail with an extended rail to mount on the dovetail. The will bring the scope a few inches back, and I can reuse the picatinny rings it came with. The scope is great for my use, and the cost is very reasonable. Others pointed out the fat cross hairs, and they are correct, but it isn't a problem for me. Please be aware of the eye relief when ordering, since this scope can only move 1/4" back and forth when seating it in the rings. I have added a photo so you can see the sight picture with the cross hair and range marks.

Wanna be a pirate? Buy this, put in on a centerfire.
This is possibly the lowest rating I've given a product. If I didn't have another rifle in need of a scope, I would be returning it. First, let's start withe the product description (which, by the by, are getting WORSE AND WORSE all around Amazon, bordering on downright fraudulent) At the time of purchase, this product was advertised as having an eye relief of 3-5". The "5" was the main reason for my purchase, I needed the extra bit of eye relief. The description has since been updated to show the (still inaccurate) eye relief of 3". Next, the eye relief of the actual product received. DO NOT USE FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN A .22 OR AIR RIFLE!!! You WILL get whacked. Not may or might, WILL. Actual eye relief of the product I received is only a VERY unforgiving 1.75-2" and if you aren't lined up absolutely PERFECTLY, you will lose the sight picture. Even for a $25 scope, that's pathetic. All in all, first impression is pretty fair. It seems well built enough, but the eye relief was a main concern for me, and this product really let me down, especially considering the many good reviews. Lucky for me, it does work (well enough) on my 10/22 so I won't be returning it unless I notice any other flaws. Would I recommend it to a friend? Maybe, if it holds up over time, but definitely NOT through Amazon. Edit: This is going back, or in the trash. No clarity at all beyond 25 yards. For $25, I wasn't expecting anything great, but I was expecting a product that worked. Between this and the abysmal eye relief, this is just unacceptable.

Good compact low budget scope, but not the best quality!
So I purchased this scope a few months ago(about 4.5) to mount and use on my Ruger 10/22. I didn't want a super high quality scope since its only a .22LR caliber and I dont plan to use it for anything other than plinking. It did not mount to the stock rail that was on my rifle, even when I adjusted the scope rings so that the bolts fell into the slots on the rail. Okay, weird, many said it fits with the stock rail, but no problem, I ordered another aftermarket picatinny rail for the 10/22. The scope mounted on that one perfectly. I used a vise and made sure it was on there properly leveled. FINALLY, I get to actually go outside and use it. First impressions were pretty good. for a $30 scope the glass was really clear. Much better than I thought. The etched reticle was also a nice and the rangefinder was definitely pretty cool, I've never owned a scope with one before. I zeroed it in with a few shots, and it was right on the money. I'm talking 50 yards and easily hitting shotgun shells and small 1" sticky targets on the bullseye. AWESOME! Easily shot sub MOA. I was in love. Only took me a few minutes to sight in and the built in handles for the elevation and windage made it a breeze, no extra tools needed! I capped the turrets and off I went. I put maybe 1500 rds through it since getting it setup in late April. Its not a rifle I used a lot, but when it would come out with me to the range, it would see maybe 150-200 rds in that short time span. Yesterday I went out and we were having fun shooting, and on the last 35 rds I noticed somethign odd happened, the scope went out of focus. Hm... I thought maybe my contact got dried out and moved around in my eye, nope. It was the scope, I could still see the targets, but they looked blurry and grainy.. I let my friend take a look, and he confirmed he saw the same thing, I tried southpaw just to be 100% sure and noticed the same thing while using my good eye that I dont need corrective lenses for. I think that one of the glass bits inside has moved out of place, which threw off the focal point inside it, and it is now out of focus. I tried using the adjustments on the scope for + and - just out of curiosity, but they did nothing. I never even noticed a difference with that when I first got the item, so I think it's just more of a placebo... Overall, for $30 this is a pretty good scope. I loved it in the beginning after finally getting it mounted, leveled, and zeroed. Great for a .22LR. It was a tack driver! The only downside was the short life span. I didn't expect it to outlive me or my rifle, afterall it was worth about an hours time at work, but I also didn't expect it to break within the first year, especially since I didn't shoot the thing everyday! I'd recommend it to people, but be weary of what you are buying. Don't go hard on this thing, and don't perform super rapid fire with it mounted. I think that's what caused it to break on me as I ran through the 25rd mag in less than a few seconds. If you are getting this to use on an airsoft or air rifle, I'm sure it will hold up and work just fine. You get what you pay for! Can't say I'm upset I bought it, it was awesome while it lasted!

Perfect for Savage Rascal
As another reviewer has mentioned, this scope is 100% perfect for the popular "Rascal" .22 youth rifle because of its light weight, short overall length, and short eye relief. The eye relief distance is so short that I would never put this rifle on a full-size rifle. It is way too short for a grown adult's gun or a hard-kicking centerfire rifle, but perfect for a kid's .22. The optics quality are very clear for such an inexpensive scope, and the windage and elevation knobs seem to work well. Ours has held its zero after a couple years of being bumped around in occasional use. My only advice is to ditch the high mount rings that come with the scope, as they will set the scope up ridiculously high on the Rascal: way too tall for the boy or girl to have a proper cheek weld against the stock. I used some inexpensive Weaver "medium height" rings in combination with Savage's scope bases designed for the rascal (Savage product 70459 also available on Amazon) and mounted the rings with the nut on the left side of the action so as to not interfere with the bolt handle. The result was a scope as low as you can go while still allowing the user to work the bolt. You do have to remove the rear sight, but it's worth it to get the scope as low as possible.
