LAVILIN Roll On Deodorant for Women and Men - Aluminum Free Deodorant with Up to 72 Hour Long-Lasting Protection and Odor Control – Alcohol, Paraben and Cruelty FREE Sensitive Skin deodorant (2 oz)

My wife and I wanted to get away from aluminum deodorants, so I was happy when I found Lavilin's product here! We tried all 4 products offered (roll on, blue deo-stick, red deo-stick and cream), and here is the verdict: USE THE ROLL ON! The other products either don't work at all, or include harmfukl substances (for those of you who care what you put onto your skin)! Since this review here is mainly for the roll-on, please refer to my review for the other products in case you want more details. THE ROLL-ON: After testing it for 2 weeks, here are our results: - It DOES work IF you follow it's instructions (more about that later!) - It DOES have a scent, one similar to "Fresh Linen" in some room/bathroom sprays. NO, it's not THAT bad! But I'm glad to report (being a guy) that this scent pretty much disappears after the deodorant completely dried. WHAT? No "all-day-scent"? NO, and that's the point of this product! You see: since it inhibits the build-up of bacteria that causes the smell (gross, I know!), you WON'T NEED a scented deodorant! Get it? No smell, no scent needed! You're still sweating (which I what your armpits where made for), but not smelling! IMPORTANT: you HAVE TO follow the instructions for this product to work! - Put in on before going to bed! Weird, I know! But again: the point is that it will hinder smell to develop. I compare it with crabgrass-preventer which creates a barrier the weed can't penetrate! Same with this roll-on: you put it on BEFORE the weed (smell) grows, so you don't have to deal with it (smell) later! - DO NOT use soap for your armpits when taking a shower. Again: the product needs to REMAIN ON as long as possible, just like crabgrass preventer! Use just water instead! - You need to apply it like I described for a few days, and you'd be AMAZED by the results! I know it seems to be the better deal, but the results are VERY disappointing! You can read my f Here's the skinny on the cream: - The "cream" has the texture/consistency of almost dried up drywall joint compound (AKA putty, mud). Or think of the very thick, white 70SPF sunscreen that you found at the bottom of your beach/pool bag after 3 years. There is a REASON they supply a Spackle! - It's VERY difficult to apply, and you need to wash your hands thoroughly after application - Men: seriously? You think you can apply this easily w/o shaving your armpits? Good luck! Plus they include ingredients like Propylene Glycol (!), PEG-40, Tetrasodium and other stuff you can get in cheaper products any time! No need to wait for the sticks to arrive. All we can say is : DON'T waste your money, but invest it in the roll-on. You'd be MUCH happier! I hope this review helped you making an informed decision! It Works!!! I have only been using this for one week, but so far I am very impressed. I haven't had the slightest odor while using it and the fragrance of the product is light and pleasant. It is working just as well, if not better than my Mitchum, which I usually rely on and since it is aluminum free, feels like a better option.

This deodorant does work well, but it's extremely overpriced, inconvenient, smells weird, and is imported (Israel). The product works because it uses magnesium instead of aluminum to plug up your pores and make life biochemically difficult for the stinky bacteria. The products in Dr. Teal's Aluminum Free Magnesium-based line of deodorants, also available on Amazon, use the same mechanism but cost about 1/4 as much as Lavilin, work just as well, are more convenient to apply, smell better and are made in the USA.

Lavalin works good mostly Pros effective for most of a day ( on my body chemistry ) - no aluminum! acceptable scent Cons- why I did not give 5 stars 1)can not wear dark sleeveless clothes white powder rubs off 2)rolls on goopy & takes a long time maybe15 min? to dry 3)costly and is not available in stores 4)when the effectiveness is done it is OVER QUICK - 1 minute I smell ok and the next grosser than ever! inconsistent odor protection 6-15 hours 5) dries out my underarm skin and makes it flaky If you continue to read the rest- and are researching like I did- then you are probably in a similar situation-- good luck FYI I wash my body and then wash my pits at least 3 times in the shower with antibacterial soap daily! I get smelly within minutes of getting out of the shower if I do not apply something asap -and I tried non aluminum , toms, natures gate, crystal -both the rock and liquid, soft & dri, and a nano silver product and also a home made coconut oil and baking soda concoction. I gave up on natural and went to aluminum and tried arm n hammer, degree, dove, secret tropical and secret 48 hour The secret 48 hour and the non aluminum soft and dri worked best -- lasting only few hours before I began to wreak again. The home made recipe and silver worked good but both gave me terrible deep sores and rash. degree and toms were the biggest failures for my chemistry. I now carry alcohol wipes and the deodorant in my purse is lavalin. I'm not sure how the re apply is meant to be done - the instructions are not clear- I clean my pits first- before applying or re-applying--I am assuming if I am stinky- I would be contaminating the deodorant with the bacteria that is causing the smell if I didn't disinfect the pits first.

This is the first time I have used a roll-on deo, and it took very little getting used to. It worked just as advertised, easily lasted 72 hours, and seemed to get more effective over time. The only issue for me is that the bottle only lasted two months. I will try the stick version and see how it compares.

2024 Update - If you are looking for an alternative (since this one is made in Israel and we don’t want that now, do we!) - Indian made Caveman Naturals has been working really well for me so far. It is a fraction of the price and just as effective if not better. So yes, bye bye Lavilin! ———————————- This is an excellent choice of deodorant if you lead an active life! I use this at the gym, home, office and everywhere and am happy to report it is super effective. After a week of use, I have now moved to using it every alternate day and no odour issues so far. It doesn't travel well though and leaks a bit... But given how effective it is, I am more than happy to not make a fuss about the packaging. This is one item I am sure to buy again.
