Goodyear Gatorbacks are the only belts I buy even though they cost a bit more -- but none of the parts stores carry them around here so I had to go online -- Ive tried Dayco and other belts but they dont last as long and theyre noisy even with new pulleys and tensioner. The Gatorbacks are made from a better grade of material, run cooler, last longer and are totally quiet- not a sound even if wet. The last one I installed five years ago is still in amazingly good shape and running quiet, no other belt has come close so im buying another one before I need to replace it again. My guess is the parts stores stopped carrying them because its what everyone buys and they arent selling enough of the other brands. I live in the capital city of my state and still cant find them anywhere. They wont even special order them - suggests to me there may be a fix in place to prevent a consumer monopoly choice on the better product. Theres no fair reason why they shouldnt carry these as well along with other brands as the high end choice. If you buy a Gatorback belt youre buying solid performance, long life, quiet smooth operation and best value for the money -- certainly much cheaper than a tow truck and shop bill if it fails on the road. Buy it, install it and enjoy the peace and quiet and peace of mind.

No idea what vehicle this belt is intended for, but after seeing it referenced online and all the other comments I purchased this for my 2001 Chevy Blazer ZR2, that was producing a rage inducing squeak/squeal. I had replaced an alternator, tensioner pulley and two belts in attempt to get the squeaking to stop. Once I had confidently confirmed it was the belt tried numerous "squeak be gone" products, W40, cleaning the belt, and even the old mechanics bar of soap trick (Irish Spring bar soap worked better and longer than anything else) but none of them would fully stop the squeak or even keep it quite for long. Finally found this belt and purchased it with the mindset of "Why not?". Since it was put on no more squeaks or sounds of any kind! I couldn't be happier! Slipped on easy and has been on for around 3 months but remains just as tight and quite! If you have one of the infamous S10 series with squeak you need this belt! Nothing worse than having a great truck that looks good but sounds like a whoopty.

Has all the characteristics of a high-quality, heavy duty, premium belt and the price wasn't bad. What's not to like? 5 stars all day long!

The gatorback belt was a perfect replacement for my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. There are a few different sizes floating around out there, but if you have that year cherokee - This is the belt you need. 4/5 stars because after about 2 months the belt started squeaking a little bit when the AC turns on and off.

This is a miracle belt! Every belt that I have put into my 99 Chevy blazer 4x4 has had the worst squeak. I found out about this belt through some searching on the internet for a cure to the squeak. I was a bit skeptical but I was desperate. The shipping was fast and I did the install in a few minutes. Immediately the squeak was gone. I was so happy but still skeptical. It has been about a week and about 30 miles and at idol there is no sound. However, when driving there is a faint squeak but that is most likely due to an issue with the pulleys. When this belt wears out I will be buying another one.

Subaru owners beware - does not fit the 6 cylinder Tribeca and possibly Outbacks. The amazon parts checker and the Goodyear website indicate this will fit a 2010 Tribeca 3.6. The belt is more than 2 ft too long! Looks to be a problem with how Goodyear has labeled it. Look at the other belts and you will see effect length is roughly 65" for the application - this particular Goodyear belt is 95". The Dayco belts are correctly labeled.I pulled off the old belt and it was immediately apparent this was the wrong belt. Ran to Pep Boys and got the right belt, but they didn't carry the Goodyear unfortunately. Possibly the Goodyear 4060650 is the correct belt - it fits pre 2010 Tribeca's and is the same effect length of 65". Maybe the Outback has a longer length and it got crossed over the Tribeca. Either way save some grief and time by getting the correct belt.The belt itself is great, but it doesn't fit as described

Searched for a good quality belt at a good price and THIS fit the bill perfectly. I changed out the idler pulley while I was in there so should be good for awhile.

I had some belt squeak on my 2003 Chevy S10. I replaced the tensioner, washed the belt in Dawn and cleaned all the pulleys with brake cleaners and a soft brush. The squeak just kept coming back. I read about this belt and decided to give it a try. It was delivered at the promised date and its was at least $25 cheaper than any of the local shops. Installed it in a couple of minutes and it works wonders. No more squeaks. The "Gator skin" design of this belt should also make it last much longer than regular belts. I would strongly recommend this product and the seller.
