Serves its purpose.
I bought this so that I could decant the oil from a saucepan that I used for deep frying and could therefore use the pan again. The pot just holds sufficient oil and the strainer is useful for filtering out scraps of batter etc after frying fish. It was easy to clean, served its purpose and was worth the money. However, since I purchased an air fryer I no longer deep fry food because with the air fryer there's less mess, less electricity used and little or no oil used which is healthier.

Good idea
Bought as I've started using my wok as a deep fryer and needed something decent for filtering the oil and storing it when not required as I use my wok for normal cooking also. Wish I had one of these before now, holds more oil than it states (currently got roughly 1.5l and plenty room left) might just be I got lucky I don't know. Strainer works well and is really useful, no more cleaning my normal strainer. Definitely recommended if your using it for small batch frying in pots or woks and you can use the oil for general frying adding flavour to your oil.

Very useful item if you fry food or roast potatoes and keep oil for re-use
Nice sturdy construction in general and a reasonable size. Drip tray it comes with is a must. Does an excellent job of straining batter flour dust, potato crumbs etc out of used oil for re-use. Will have to be very careful when washing mesh filter as this part is very delicate. Otherwise I think great product. My neighbour bought one too and is literally quite ecstatic with its performance in oil filtering.

All metal and no melting parts
Tried it on the gas stove already, it's just the right size for one person camping. I was after something stainless with a easy to hold mug like handle with none melting parts and could hold a nice packet of noodles, something similar to something I'd seen in a Taiwanese camp-travel TV show for eating and drinking soup straight out of.I prefer the lid handle is removable for easy travel and storage, the strainer will be good for steaming and the non-intrusive spout allows steam to escape without boiling over. The main part of the pan is magnetic; the handles on the pan and strainer isn't. Very sturdy and strong, the strainer handle weld is a little weak, but it isn't a problem.

Really useful to store used oil
Before I purchased this I used to use a 900g empty Olive glass jar which was not ideal. This is high quality 304 steel so it doesn't rust, with a secure riveted handle and fine mesh strainer so no solids.I use it to strain all used oil which I only use once, to reduce carcinogen (every time you use it, the molecules break down)When it's full, I use cooking oil solidifier so I can dispose of it in the household waste and then either put in the dishwasher or kitchen sink.If you were doing deep fat frying you could use it to strain the oil after every use, however I would use oil filter papers (bigger versions of coffee filter papers) to catch the smaller particulates?

Good product at reasonable price
Well made out of good materials. Jug pours well and the filter cleaned out all visible bits. Made clearing out the fried at each use less of a chore. I would buy this again…if I needed to.

Didn’t realise how much oil I threw away
A great oil saving appliance which had bought one years ago saving me quite a bit of money at the price of oil today

Could Have Been Better
Almost everything is good about this apart from the pouring lip. Oil is always going to stick to the edges due to viscosity so why have such a pathetic lip on this. It is always encouraging oil to drip down the side. The filter works well and the fact that it is metal means the oil can be poured in when it is still hot and this of course means it comes out of the pan easier.
