I purchased the gold choice. It's a beautiful, modern-looking glass-topped scale with mat gold-tone color on the metal parts. It seems to be accurate (they state that it reads to 0.2 pound (that is, about 3 ounces). And it is nicely consistent -- I step on, wait until the weight flashes three times. If I step off and back on, I get the exact same reading. I make sure I have the four feet positioned evenly on the small mosaic tiles on my bathroom floor, but that is easy to do because the location of the four feet can be seen from above (the circles). The display is bright so I can see it easily without reading glasses, even with the overhead light off in the room. It also gives the prior weight reading, which can be helpful.The owner's manual is comprehensive, although not very long, and written in a casual, homey way. I recommend reading it from front to back before using the scale for the first time.They make the point that they will fix any problems, and they say that several times, providing both a phone number and an e-mail address.There even is a small clear (unobtrusive) sticker on the glass of the scale with the phone number and e-mail address for their customer service department and the reiteration that they will address any issue promptly.I did have a problem initially -- the batteries which came with the scale gave me a "Lo" indication, meaning they were defective or dead. I used my own alkaline batteries, and the scale worked perfectly. I had to decide if I wanted to even bother contacting them about the bad batteries, since the scale was such a bargain. But, I kept thinking about the three or four times in the written material where they clearly said contact them, so I did. I wrote an e-mail at 4:30 pm yesterday, describing the problem and asking them to send me a set of new batteries. Last night, they sent their reply, offering to give me a refund of an amount to cover the batteries on my credit card. I wrote back this morning happily accepting that solution, and I've already received a notice from Amazon.com that they have issued a credit on my credit card -- so it took no more than 24 hours for the seller to fix the problem. I don't find that sort of customer-oriented service very often these days!

Fits in very nicely with modern or contemporary decor. Very accurate, feels like good build quality. Seems to rezero itself very often, good if you need to move it for whatever reason.Something I'm not so sure about is whenever you use the scale, it will display your current weight and then after a little delay it'll display the last weight it measured last time the scale was used. Not necessarily the last time you personally used it. Or even the last time a human used it. If you have other family members or, say, some sort of curious pet, this becomes less useful, but is perfect for a single person to help track their weight.The actual unit is neither heavy nor light for a scale of this size and features a prominent LCD display with fairly large numbers. Said display can be read easily at the dead of night or early in the morning. The main surface feels durable and steady, plus it looks nice.Also included was a small tape measure and batteries.This scale works as expected and is nice if you're getting this specifically with the intent of tracking weight loss progress for a single person. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase.

After having SEVERAL digital scales that have been total junk, it is nice to finally find one that:1. Works! (mean it literally, several of the "other" scales wouldn't even turn on!)2. Accurate3. Well built4. Easy to read display5. Fast readings approx 2-3 secs6. Affordable (too many "quality" scales are overpriced pieces of junk.)When my wife and I started playing with the scale, I forgot 2 key rules about scales: 1. Weigh yourself the same time of day (always in the morning/evening, etc) 2. Leave the scale in the same spot to get consistent, accurate readings.We were getting weights all over the place. Finally, we put it in one spot in the bathroom and get on it like clockwork before AM showers. VERY consistent readings now... (Holidays and all the food, is showing up with every AM decimal point... )Overall, I would recommend it to anyone looking for an attractive, quality scale at a reasonable price!It does not have a body fat monitor, In my opinion those readings in a scale are WAY off, even in the expensive brands. If I were trying to "watch my weight", do just THAT.The company sent an email explaining their 100% satisfaction guarantee. I am impressed. There is a Price Match Guarantee, I Just purchased the scale for $29, it dropped to $26. I am not going to invoke the Guarantee. I personally feel that even if it dropped to $19, I am still getting my monies worth @ $29...

Can't go wrong with this for the price (I got it for $23.) The box it comes in looks a little unprofessional and childish, but that doesn't really matter unless this is a gift (that would be a pretty mean gift though). It runs on 4 AAA batteries which are included. The included measuring tape is nice and sturdy, metric on one side and imperial on the other. It's auto-retractable and in a plastic housing.The smart-step on gimmick works pretty well actually. It's much easier/quicker than the ones where you have to wait for it to calibrate, etc. Other scales require you to wait a few seconds after stepping on to calculate the weight, which afterwards it is fixed and doesn't change. This scale auto-updates the weight so you don't have to wait for it to calculate, so it's good if you want to use this as a shipping scale or something.When you use it, make sure its on a hard surface, like tile or wood. Anything else, like any carpet can impact the accuracy.The only issue is that the picture is misleading in one aspect. It looks like there are 4 metal bars on all 4 sides, however, the left and right sides aren't metal bars, they are just metallic stickers, but you can't tell unless you look at it from the bottom. Other than that, this scale is great in every aspect.

I've given 1 star, because I don't believe these scales are not accurate enough to be fit for purpose. I have weighed myself twice with a ten minute gap between readings on a number of occasions. There is a large difference between readings some of the order of 4kg.Pros:Large display.Attractive design.Shows last reading, but beware each time you take a reading immediately after the previous reading you get an identical answer.Cons:The scales do not appear to be accurate.Need to be recalibrated each time the scales are moved. This requires removal of the batteries.The button to change the units is on the underside of the scales (try changing the units without lifting or moving the scales!).

Super sleek and chic design, very easy to set up just follow the steps included in the box, batteries included too ( they are in the inner lining of the box) Gives reliable readings too, 'last weight' is a nice touch , very encouraging to see my new lower weight! Oh its good value too, you can lose many more pounds sterling if you want, but why do that ? Crystal clear easy to read display,

Several readings were done with the same person over a 10 minute period, each reading was different, this was after calibration.Not happy with the product so will be returning it
