Update (1/22/2024): coating came off. Even though it says you can use metal utensils, I never do. I only use wooden utensils. I mostly cook pasta or stews in this so nothing challenging. For months I noticed some marks on the bottom so the coating wasnt staying as it should. This past weekend I noticed that it actually came off. Contacted manufacturer (not that I expected a response) but no response. Definitely do not recommend. For this much money, buy a stainless steel pot that will never have this issue. Thats what i am doing.The first one I received had a faulty lid. It had burn marks around the edges - I am not an expert but either not polished properly or exposed to really high heat like a welding torch. I figured I would contact Scanpan to see if they simply send a replacement lid and they said since I bought it from Amazon I have to go through the, which makes me wonder - will they do the same if this pot develops issues past the return window in amazon? Definitely have doubts about Scanpan's warranty policy now.After I asked for a replacement from Amazon, I noticed the inside had a chip as well. Since they advertise as "you can even use metal utensils", I suspect this one had issues from the getgo and somehow had made it past their quality control (did they have one?).I received my replacement the other day and cooked in it once. Did well. I had picked this one (even though it is somewhat pricey) because it is just the right size - diameter and height.For something this expensive I expected a better quality lid. It is very light and seems like they made it as cheap as they can.

Yes, the price is up there but the quality is also Up there! We have a ceramic top stove and if you have one you know that if you put a pan on it that is warped only a small part touches the heat and that becomes very hot and can burn the food. The Scanpans stay FLAT and hold the heat very good, one at a time I am replacing the other pots and pans.

I received it today and think about returning it, unfortunately. I already have several pans, which I love, so I didn’t expect to be frustrated. The lid is very much thin, like a thin layer of aluminium, it’s becoming really hot, including the handle, during cooking. The handles of the pot are also hot.

The bottom of the pot is aluminum (non anodized) which oxidizes and turns your hands black when you wash it. What's worse is that it cross contaminates the aluminum to the inside of your other pots when you stack them. Obviously this is bad for your health.

This is SO worth the expense! It's a great size for everything from spaghetti sauce to pot roast, it's sturdy but not too heavy, nice flat bottom, the inner surface seems like it will stay unscratched and it is cleans up very easily. Lid fits perfectly and the handles are easy to grip . Love this pan!

This is a great every day pan but I was very surprised that the lid was so light (in weight). I would have thought with a pan this expensive the lid would have been a little more sturdy. There is not problem so far but I am really worried if I drop the lid it may bend?

I cook all the time and appreciate fine equipment. The scanpan line is in a class all by itself. The quality is comparable to my All-Clad pans and the non-stick really works and now I don't worry about the surface rubbing off and having to throw the pans away. I think of scanpan as calphalon that actually works.

I ordered this pan as a gift and so it wasn’t opened for a few weeks. When it was opened, we realised that a much larger version of this pan (the Dutch oven one) had been sent in error. I contacted Haus to arrange a replacement and their customer service team replied to my email within the hour and the correct pan was sent out the same day. Amazing customer service from this company!!! The pan is also excellent. Super nonstick. Easy to clean. Very solid. Time will tell regarding the nonstick but hopefully by looking after it, it will last a lifetime!
