Cracking little set. Excellent value. Grinds perfectly. Looks far more expensive than it is. 10 out of 10.

Great size and work well! After buying some 'pretty' salt and pepper grinders which didn't actually grind, I bought these. Not only do they look great, they work well, are a decent size and a reasonable price.

Fantastic price for two good sized grinders. The photographs include a 2p piece to give an idea of scale, they're not small and dainty. They're a decent size, hold lots of salt/pepper and feel good in the hand. You can adjust the grind from fine to coarse, which is important as you might not want the same setting for everything. Two moans. First, and this one is minor, the plastic base looks and feels cheap, I suppose it's there if you like it or need to use it, I think we'll bin it. Second, and it should have been clear from the item pictures but I didn't consider it, taking the caps off before you use them is a faff. It isn't difficult, but it's one more thing to do. You can't really leave them off, as grinder up would get fluffed up with dust, and they don't look right upside down as the underside of the glass is ridged.

Great product, looks very stylish. Easy to fill and use. Love the little rack that comes with it. My only downside is- all the plastic. 1 Large bag for the whole item, 2 small individual bags for each mill, 2 further smaller bags for each top, and a further 2 round foam discs for the bottoms. Whilst I appreciate the effort to send the item with minimal opportunity for damage, this is a bit overkill, especially in this day and age when we are supposed to be considering the planet and cutting down on extraneous waste packaging. Perhaps the company could consider using other products, mushroom fibre packing, recycled paper, bamboo, anything other than plastic bags.

This is the second purchase of this Oliver's Kitchen Salt and Pepper Grinder. I only bought the second set because I broke one of the previous grinders but had been so impressed with it that I wanted exactly the same again if possible. Probably the best salt and pepper grinder I have ever owned. Looks classy and works well, what more can I say. (I now have one spare grinder mill just in case I accidentally break one again). Note the handle in the holder protrudes a little further than in the photo on the listing but this is good as its just right to lift the set up safely.

Had this previously but the whole grinder top broke on the salt one and just the grinder broke on the pepper one. Had them for a good few years, but both broke probably from lack of care. I would recommend not using them for when cooking, as the steam gets the salt and peppers stuck on the grinders from the moisture from the steam. Apart from that it was very sturdy and easy to fill up and use, it also has lids so nothing goes in or out and the shakers doesn’t leak salt and pepper like a lot of shakers do with their opening facing down, this one faces up. This has more capacity than a lot of the bigger fancier electric ones (was very tempted to get electric ones) but decided on going back to these due to the capacity and just generally easier to use and these now come with the rack. I have gotten the new ones now for a month or so and only use it exclusively for served dishes not whilst cooking anymore. This should preserve and keep the shakers from wearing quicker. I would recommend this if you just want a high capacity, sturdy and easy to use shakers that have their own rack with handle.

The capacity of these grinders is fabulous, and it's easy to see when the salt and pepper are running out for refills. I've had over a year's service, where it was the best grinder set I've ever had. But, approx 16 months in, the pepper grinder mechanism has cracked. This is because it's made of plastic rather than metal. Now, the pepper grinder is completely useless, and I'm looking at buying a replacement set. My parents still have a pepper grinder that they bought 40 years ago that still works, so there's no reason why this one shouldn't have lasted at least 5 years. If you're ok with just grinding salt, go for it. But if you need both a salt and pepper grinder, look elsewhere for something with a metal mechanism.

We were fed up with supermarket grinders making our table look untidy, so invested in a couple of these sets, and I have to say it has been a very welcome upgrade. They are easy to fill & use, and are far more asthetically pleasing. Hopefully they will be long lasting too.

Easy to fill, easy to use. Very attractive. Easy to regulate the grind. Very happy with this purchase.
