Buy it for grandparents

I have moderate age-related wet macular degeneration (20/40 right, 20/50 left), for which I get injections every 10-12 weeks. I have several magnifiers, but this is my go-to. The lights work very well and 30X seems to be the optimum magnification for reading labels and other fine print. It's a bit bulky and I've dropped it a few times., but I've been able to reassemble it (so far). I just ordered a second one as a backup.

It’s heavy. Didn’t get it for the weight or lack of. It’s a great tool for my 103 year old granny to read books again. Lights are great. But, the weight does come into play as a negative when holding for long periods.

i like the heavy construction quality. i look at pistils on plants or for tiny bugs. awesome.nice to have

When I received mine it had several scratches on the lens. I’m not sure if they have a QA department to inspect each unit before it’s shipped to the customer. Other then the scratches it serves my purpose. Wish I could give it a higher rating, but can’t because of the scratches.

Great price and the magnification is as stated. Very useful for a rock hound to inspect rocks for fossils and markings.
