Easy to use programming. Easy to set up. If it lasts a great buy.

This is a beautifully simple device - just one control wheel and two buttons. If you're comfortable programming electronic devices then it's perfectly possible to set this up and program it without ever bothering to look at the instructions. The LCD isn't particularly legible in bright sunlight, but that's not a problem as you can detach it and just take it indoors to program it. Whilst it can't do complex programs, such as different patterns for different days of the week (see the more expensive model for that), what it is good at is programming multiple short watering patterns at regular intervals during the day.So why only 4 stars ? Well my concern is durability. There are precisely *zero* water seals on the timer and nothing to stop water getting into the battery compartment. The battery compartment is open, with a pp9 battery connected by blade terminals (rather than the normal clip-on connectors). Whilst it's working fine for me so far, with no sign of water ingress, I'm not sure if I could recommend it for anywhere especially exposed.

Excellent unit for watering greenhouse over holiday periods, programmed it to come on for 2mins every 6 hours and came back to unstressed tomatoes and peppers, paired it with a 6mm irrigation system and had no trouble over three different holiday periods, very pleased. Included adapter needs to be fitted to mate with uk external tap

I purchased this so I could go abroad for a few weeks and keep certain parts of my garden watered with two attached sprinklers. I particularly love the simplicity of operation, and the fact it has a kids tamper setting - my kids already tried to activate the sprinklers themselves! This is a quality product, exactly what I'd expect from Gardena.

I bought this timer to replace an older Gardena model which had ceased to work, perhaps because I left it in the shed during a cold winter? By comparison this is much more intuitive to programme and the display of settings, which was not present on the older model, is clear and easy to interpret. The battery charge indicator is also helpful. Very easy to change frequency and duration of watering and to turn on and off if required. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

Gardena equipment easy to connect and first class product. Little bit more expensive but worth it.

The item packed up after a few months. Amazon won’t accept a return after 30 days, and the manufacturer Gardena don’t want to know either. Avoid!

Der Gardena Automat ist ein guter Helfer im Garten. Vor allem wenn nur am Wochenende Zeit hat. Bewässerung funktioniert. Die Programierung ist kinderleicht. Es ist eben GARDENA :-)

Ormai non devo anaffiare più. Molto semplice da usare e affidabile.

Programmation simple et efficace plus besoin de se soucier de l arrosage!
