This ceramic leaf is a functional piece of art, designed to be a medium sized spoon rest, but could have other uses. No two leaves are exactly the same. Each leaf is individually created out of stoneware clay from a leaf out of my garden. Hand painted with transparent glazes that range from yellow-green to green. Any small, bright turquoise accents you may see in the photos is much more subtle in person.

I love things made by hand. It is unique in comparison with mass production. I always feel when an individual makes his art or handicraft he (she) puts part of his soul into their works... I bought this dish specifically to hold a bottle of cosmetic oil and protect the surface of the wooden shelf in the bathroom from being destroyed by accidental spilling. This dish exceeded all my expectations. Everything: size, color, appearance is just perfect!!! Exactly as described. It has a glaze on the surface and around the edges. The bottom is not glazed which is a big plus for me as it does not slide easily. This leaf like dish looks very realistic with a ton of small details. If you have a rustic, woodland, nature like decor you'll love this one. I'm planning to buy a more decorative bottle for cosmetic oil in the future. Things made by hand in the United States will always cost more than the regular household items. I treat myself for a special occasion by buying something like this. I will always be cheering creative skills regardless of the country of origin, but I am especially happy to support American artists. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Piece used daily
I adore this handmade spoon rest. It’s pretty enough to leave on the counter, big enough for larger spoons, and easy to clean. I’ve even got compliments on it! The little cork feet keep it from sliding around or scratching my quartz countertops. I love it so much!
