Das Boom Everything Wash 8 Oz - West Indies (Bay Rum, Smoke, & Dirt)

I love this stuff! I first received a small 3oz bottle of the West Indies Everywhere Lotion as part of a groomsman's gift set. After trying it on a few days later I was hooked. It smells amazing! The Everything Wash is an outstanding shower product; manly scent, long lasting with a rich foamy lather. True Story: Shortly after using the Shower Wash and then applying the Everywhere Lotion I pulled 6 firefighters out of a burning building (which turned out to be a huge mistake because, unbeknownst to me, they were trying to put the fire out), changed 4 tires on an 18 wheeler in 10 minutes, got the digits of that cute counter girl at gym and then wrestled an out-of-control- grizzly bear into submission just before I scaled Half Dome in Yosemite; no ropes.

This stuff smells great, it's a great mix of smoke and earth. My biggest issue with the product is the price for the amount you get: 8.8 ounces for ~$22, not a very good ratio. Also, it takes quite a bit of the soap to get a good lather going. All in all, I like it, but unfortunately not enough to buy it again once it's gone, unless the price point is much lower.

I love Das Boom products. I got a trial sized West Indies lotion from Gentlemen's Box and it smelled great so I bought the body wash as well. There are not enough soaps on the market that make you smell like a man. I don't want to leave the shower smelling like a flower or lavender. Now for only 8 oz this stuff is expensive but I'm willing to pay a little more to get a scent that I like. So the packaging was awful....I won't knock a star because I'm not sure if that was amazon's fault or Das Boom or what. But when it arrived it was shrink wrapped so tight that it pressed the dispenser down and everything was a big sticky mess

Smells great. I was sampled this thru birch box and decided to go ahead and purchase. Would buy again. 4 stars because the soap style dispenser doesn't work well, it takes at least 7-8 pumps to get much out.

"WEST INDIES is an exotic blend infused with essences of bay rum, smoke, and dirt." I found this product via DETROIT, a scent which many reviewers had panned, and I love smoke and dirt notes as well as being a fan of bay rum so I decided to try it. WEST INDIES was not the everything wash for me. It was not the anything wash! I soaped my hands with it once and I haven't touched it since. All I got from the scent was Gillette shaving cream, and how! I could smell that there was bay rum, I could barely make out sandalwood, but they were drugstore versions of themselves, not the full-bodied real deal. The dirt and smoke notes were probably present but I couldn't discern them through the overpowering eau de Gillette (see what I did there? eau de toilette?) It's strong, oh-so-strong, and reminiscent of dime store aftershaves. The bay rum top is definitely the predominant note. Fellas (and chicks), if that's your thing, WEST INDIES is for you. I can't testify as to its everything-washing capabilities since I only washed my hands with it once.

This smells fantastic! Equal to the best of the best facial cleaners I have found. But what sets it apart is, it leaves some of that great "manly" scent on you to linger. Love it! Now bought some of the "Dirt" lotion. Love that you use the word dirt as one of the scents descriptors!

This is a struggle for me to post; the product itself is great. I'm a big fan of Das Boom, and if I could, I'd split my review: 5 stars for the product, 1 star for the bottle/pump combo - and to be fair, this may be on the seller (myFootprint) or amazon, as the bottle arrived with a significant amount of tape over the pump/holding it down. When I tried to use it, I could not actually get the pump to work. For a somewhat larger bottle like this, that makes it really awkward to open in she shower, get the right amount of product out, and then get the cap back on while limiting the amount of water that gets in. Of course by then it was already open and used, so can't return it.

It smells amazing but the reason I am giving it 3 stars is because it does not create enough lather, basically I have to use a lot of soap to shower and it's a rather small size to begin with so it runs out fairly quickly.
