Indispensable if you need Excel for work
I find this all-in-one book indispensable. There is just too much to do and remember in Excel not to have a reference guide. I don't use this book as a training course (some have commented that the book is too long), but as a reference when I need to lookup an issue or learn how to do a specific function I am unfamiliar with. Yes, most things these days can just be googled, but it is nice (and stress relieving) to have a reliable reference guide to go to when needed. Plus, it is organized and indexed. You take your chances when just doing an internet search for an answer. Anyway, it's not expensive and I find this book very useful as a starter and guide for all things Excel. If, after reading a section I want more in-depth instruction, then I know what to google to find it. Physical books still have a place in our lives. Recommended.

Bang for your buck
This book will allow you to make a pivot table explaining how much money you saved by simply buying this and not doing a $200 seminar online or in person.

Truly all-in-one book
The ultimate Excel bible. Well worded, easy to understand and all inclusive. If anything it might be too in depth. Be prepared to review the indices and tables of contents so that you can jump around to that which you care about the most at the moment.

Want help with Excel?
I got this because I was taking an advanced Excel class for college. My textbook was a bit hard to read and understand. I thought maybe this would be a bit easier to read and understand. It does accomplish that in some regards. The hardest thing is figuring out where the information lies. If for instance, I wanted to look up a specific command, finding where that information is in the book is some of the hardest things. If I could find it I could understand most of the time but not even all the time then even.

Satisfied
The book was as described. My only complaint is the cover had a slight crease in it due to poor packaging.

Excellent book-
Excel has changed its screen presentation so much since my previous version. Lots of the plotting, formatting, etc. that used to be available on the top bar-- is now hidden with right clicks, guesses and ??? I don't know why stuff I used to do before is now hidden??--- I guess they think it is cute to hide everything--- But this book lets you find it. Good book.

Effective
Information is generally easy to find. You look up your issue, open to the right page and BAM, you're done. In and out. Love it

Internal design and paper appalling.
I am a big fan of Dummies books but this one is dreadful - it is very thick but printed on very thin grey paper and the diagrams are tiny and also faded looking and the outside cover material is also thin and not likely to last. Very disappointed - I have the kindle version of it but prefer to have a book to hand but I think I have wasted my money this time I can't see me using it unlike the other well thumbed books in the same series. Great amount of info if you can read it...

A big book but possibly the only one you will ever need
This is a very big book and not what I expected. My daughter has just started work and she needs to know Excel. She has a very basic knowledge but between this and the course on Skillshare she is getting more proficient. The book is a bit draughting at first but it is in fact 8 books in one and the first book is the basics. The full book list is:1. Excel Basics2. Worksheet Design3. Formulas and Functions4. Worksheet Collaboration and Review5. Charts and Graphics6. data Management7. Data Analysis8. Macros and VBAThe book is some 800 pages long and I use it to delve into to find the odd action I need. This helps me and with the fits basic book my daughter picks up, you guessed it the basics. All in all a big book but possibly the only one you will ever need.

Poor Print Quality
I don't like to leave poor reviews but on this occasion I can't be positive about this product. I agree with other people that the print quality of this book is poor - especially the illustrations. The paper is very yellow and thin.I wear spectacles for reading but have a very weak prescription. I found that I needed excellent light just to read this. The illustrations were very poor. It looks as though the ink leaches into the paper and the detail is lost. The content itself was not the easiest to follow and in some cases o had to go to other sources to find a better explanation of the formula and/or functionality.I was really disappointed and should have taken the print quality review into account. In fairness to the publisher,, this is a hefty book and I suspect the only way to make it cost effective is to use the lower paper and print.I found it too frustrating and returned it for a refund.

For all levels!
Fantastic book. I am familiar with excel and slightly above basic knowledge of formulas, so wasnt sure where I'd fit in this book. It's so easy to navigate what you want to learn and accommodates all levels from a very beginner to very advanced. It's an easy pick up if I want to do something quickly or easy to browse if I have time to sit and learn. I'd recommend to EVERYONE who needs to use excel at any stage.
