Active Learning for Ones (Active Learning Series)

I am a stay at home who works nights for AAA so I'm kept pretty busy 24/7. This book helped me enhance my creativity and helped me to encourage my daughter's desire to learn. She now is 20 months old, counts to 10 on her own, sings the whole twinkle,twinkle little star song (missing a word here and there) and is starting to really grasp letters. She can sing up to the letter D. Not that the only reason is this book but it gave me some really great ideas to help her along. Some are very common knowledge but many are not. I am so glad I came across this and am about to go onto the twos book. I can't wait. By the way it's not all about work it's really a lot of fun as well.

I bought the newborn of this series and it was great. Some of the ideas very simple but good reminders and also great for a first time mum struggling with twins and multiple carers helping so we could all have some reminders and ideas.Also the check off lists of what you can do are graded 0-6 months 6- 9 months etc but not saying you should be able to do things in this month or that you can just see the progression and watch your baby develop, without worrying too much!I did take them to a physio at 6 months and she was very interested in the book said it was great, but said the babies were just normal...

I had a friend who is a stay at home mom recommend this series to me. I work full-time but I'm always looking for new activities to do in the evenings and on weekends with our 14-month-old son. This book is great! It is really user-friendly for anyone and it gives you ideas that are just a little out of the norm for what you and your toddler can be doing. One of my son's favorites is squeezing the water out of sponges. I would have never thought to do this on my own but it's a simple and easy-to-do activity with things you already have around the house! Definitely worth the money - I'll DEFINITELY buy the book for "twos" when we get there!

I used this curriculum with infants and they enjoyed every activity. It's also great resource for parents. Highly recommend!!

I got a lot of great idea's from this book to do with my classroom. My only issue is that the publication date is a little old and allows for small items to be used with small children. So I have modified some of the ideas.

My nanny uses this for activities to do with my daughter. I like it a lot because it makes me feel better that their play has a purpose and I can see how she progresses. Its very useful.

Interesting ideas for home or child care. I am finding it very useful with my grandson.
