Berwick Ribbon Shredder

My friends and I gift wrap during the holidays to raise money for our local soup kitchen; One fellow giftwrapper and friend, who I met in '91 at the soup kitchen, brought this w her a couple years ago, said she bought it through a fundraiser for a niece; she embellished the ribbon w the already perfect wrapping, customers loved it and tipped well for the soup kitchen, which is what it's all about. We used the fine tooth side for all the shredding; I first curled the free end of the ribbon and then used the shredder, my friend did just the opposite; both ways gave the same result.I couldn't find it in the craft stores, so explored online; the cost wasn't bad on sale, but the shipping doubled the price! So I waited and went through another wrapping season; finally broke down and bought it; not happy paying double.Phyllis Windham, Ct.

Great for shredding ribbon.

Works decent! Will not do ribbon with designs or glitter at all. Must be plain matte ribbon!

I use the Flora Satin craft ribbon to make these bows for on packages. I've used a metal ribbon shredder for years and just bought this double sided one and I think I'll be very happy with it. The wide ribbon must be torn in half before using the shredder but it doesn't matter since you are going to shred it anyway. I find it works best if you shred the ribbon before you curl it.

I use these until they wear out. My gifts are always impressive because of this.

Does exactly what it's supposed to.

Very disappointed in this product. It rarely cut through the ribbon and when it did, most of the shred was slivered and none usable. I truly gave it a genuine try as I had not used one before. fortunately for me I used a throw away roll of ribbon just in case. Don't waste your time with this product.
