Works Well with Some Minor Hiccups
1st of all why is the majority of the reviews on here not for the product I purchased, it looks like many of them are for wifi plugs, not the garage door opener???I had received another popular brand of Wifi garage door opener for Xmas that would not link to my Craftsman, so I tried this one. 1st you download the ap and link to wifi, it's very straight forward The physical installation is fairly easy once you understand what the directions are referring to, they can be a bit confusing. You want to attach/insert the wires into your operator in the same locations that your wall button connects to. On my craftsman, it was #1 and #2. The wires will need to be stripped a little more if you have to wrap around screws on the operator. It plugs into the same spot your operator did previously, then plug your operator in the device. As soon as I got it set up it worked great, it should only take 15-20 minutes. The ap layout is very basic and could use some updates. I tried the Smart proximity control and it worked well, it was opening and notifying me it opened about two blocks away even though it's outside the range showing on the map, 300m. Now for the negative, in order to use the proximity control, you have to leave location services always on which will drain the heck out of your phone battery. This makes it close to useless. You could set your phone to when using ap but then you have to remember to launch the ap every time you get near home. They need a better solution for this.Alexa integration: Is not straight forward and I couldn't get it to work. The step by step instructions don't work for me, it's possible it won't work if you already have devices linked to Smarthub as you need to link the ap to Smarthub. There are no options to do so without deactivating your existing products. They need to add as a Skill on Alexa or do an update so Alexa can discover it. So it works well to control your garage remotely from your phone and check if it's closed. The rest needs help

Works Great!
Bought this to help with monitoring our garage door and resolving the ongoing problem of trying to remember if we closed it. The product works exactly as advertised but there are things you need to know: First, be patient when trying to connect the device to the app. You must download the App first and then plug in the device and initiate the bridge between the two. I tried to do this on my iPhone first and could not connect. Then I used my iPad Pro and was able to connect the two almost immediately. Important: you must use 2G on your Wifi network. If you are running a 5G network, this will not work. If you have an advanced router (like a Gryphon), you can see both the 2G and 5G network streams and allocate the garage door opener accordingly during the setup process. After that, it is simply plug and play. The App has settings that allow you to see when the door is opened and closed and it will even warn you if the door stays open beyond ten minutes. You can link this device to your home network via a Skill called Smarthings. You use that skill to control the opener via Google Home or Alexa. Overall, I think this has been an excellent investment.

Easy to use garage door automation
This product is ideal for our situation. We are in a newer home. The outlet for the garage door opener is in the ceiling and has only one port. So this worked great as it passed through the port to allow plug in of the opener !The functionality of the device has been good. Only one odd failure in the month or so of use. I have not been able to get the proximity open to work at all. The integration with Google Assistant has been great. Once I renamed the device "The Portal" it has been working great for me to say "Ok Google" open the portal. Using the default name was problematic. Lastly the notification the door is open or closed is nice. It pops up on my smart watch. Once already I have forgotten to close it upon entering the house and it saved the problem of me leaving it open all night ! Nice.I would highly recommend this product if your use cases fall inline with what I have described. Nice product guys.

EZ Install/App could be better
So I needed something to let me know if I left the garage door open after I've driven away to work. The wireless battery powered sensor just sticks to the garage door and tells the device if the door is lateral or horizontal. My Chamberlain Liftmaster had extra quick connect holes in the red and white wire connection, so I didn't have to remove the existing wires to twist around. I can now use Google Assistant after I've added it to my Google Home. I bought one for each of my garage doors so I can tell Google to open or close garage door 1 or garage door 2. I can also do this remotely from my phone. The phone app is pretty basic. Needs some work to make it user friendly.I can ask "Hey Google, is garage door 1 open or closed?" and it tells me yes or no. Same with garage door 2. If it's open I tell Google on my phone or Google mini to close it... and it does..

Works, but not as expected!
Instructions need work...First, I hooked up the 2 wires on the device to 2 of the 4 screws on my Craftsman Garage door opener motor. The instructions said any 2 wires should work.Nothing happened thru the app - I then moved one wire to the next screw ... now thru the app I was able to turn on and off the light, but not control the garage door. Then I moved that same wire to the 4th screw...success !! I was able to open and close the garage door... thru the app.EXCEPT.... the app says the door is opened when it’s closed, and closed when it’s opened...Got it to also work thru the Alexa app....Here is what I found out ...The words “OPEN” & “CLOSED” are not understood by Alexa.... “Turn ON” & “Turn OFF” are understood....HOWEVER.... when I say, “Alexa turn on the garage“ she responds by saying OK… But nothing happens. AND .... When I say, “Alexa turn off the garage” she responds by saying OK and the garage door will open....Long story short.... I can OPEN & CLOSE my garage door only by saying, “Alexa, Turn Off the Garage door.”I’m guessing that I did something wrong.

No To Door Opener and No to Customer Service!
Firstly the device comes with a USA plug. It is not a DIY kit rather difficult to install and as for the app well we won't go there. Contacted customer service several times for support without any response back. I would NOT recommend this product or company do yourself a favour and contact a reputable company. I guess you get what you pay for!
