Sorry, but this pre-filter might keep boulders out but as for dust not so much. I can't say how effective a K&N filter is just like this one, I've never had one (thought they were too expensive) but they look like the same material, If so neither one is worth a hoot. I made my own from shipping bag material I had laying around. I now use this filter as a Pre-Pre filter when I'm last in line while desert riding.

Works great for what I needed. My vehicle has an exposed air filter and every time it rained, I had problems with it cutting out. This fixed the problem. It fit perfectly. Would have been better if they hadn't used USPS to ship it. My package was torn all to pieces but luckily the prefilter wasn't damaged. It doesn't seem to affect the power and airflow when driving but it does make my engine idle different. I have taken it back off during idle and the engine slows down about 200 rpms so maybe the engine is compensating for a little airflow being taken away but I still would rather it do that than have water in my air filter and it cutting out in the rain. Good product over all.

So far so good. Haven't had any problems. Seems to repel any water that does find its way to my filter located low in the engine bay.

Does the job ,just don’t run through puddles of water and you’ll be okay

Purchased this product because I just didn't wanna buy the name brand expensive one(Ingen), which was about a 15 dollars difference I believe. The product arrived 2 days before expected delivery and fit the spectre cone filter you can purchase at any auto parts store. The Pre-Filter slid right on to the filter for my cold air intake, and I've had it on for about a 2 weeks now. Guys long story short Its a great product and really helps grow a smaller business. Great product for exposed filters! Being used for a UTV cold air intake application so protecting the filter from water & mud is important. You also don't have to be as careful when washing! Fitment is good for specific filter. Small price to pay to protect your air filter!

Fits my piece perfectly. Feel safe now that is protected from the elements! Great product. Brings off a nice color too!
