I finally figured out why my dog that i rescued needed to be rescued. Apparently his previous owners got fed up with repairing their back yard fencing, so they put him up for adoption. They failed to mention this little bit of useful information. I figured it out after having him for 2 days. He was a fence fighter! (He wanted to play with the neighbors dogs) Perfect for my back yard WOODEN fence. After i replaced a good portion of my fence, i came across the wireless fence. After only 3 days, it cured my dog of this problem. i can't recommend this product enough to my friends and anybody else unfortunate enough to have a fence fighting dog with a WOODEN fence. i just set the boundaries 2 feet from my real fence and it worked fantastic. He was CURED!

I bought the wireless fence with a spare collar since we have two dogs. The instructions say it takes up to 14 days to train your dog. It took me about four days and the dogs would not leave the yard. I had the kids go outside the boundry and try to coax them out, but the dogs wouldn't leave. During the training, I set the collar on the 1st level (tone only) for the first couple of days. After that, I put it on level 2. This is a very light shock. I put it against my arm and it was just an annoying tingling, but it was not painful and I was able to hold the prongs against my arm indefinately. My dogs can now roam about the yard feely without fear of them wandering off. The other day, I heard my retriever barking wildly and went to look. There were three deer wandering by outside the fence boundry. She ran to the edge of the boundry and jumped up and down and barked, but did not try to chase after them. We have also taken the system to my dad's house and set it up. It took about five minutes to show the dogs that the boundry was set up and they never tried to leave after that. This system has been a godsend for us and the dogs.

Our property covers 15 acres which is a challenge to keep our pet (Bull Mastiff) from roaming outside the property. Hunting season was our worst fear as there are hunting camps nearby, however a physical fence is difficult and expensive. We were excited to learn of this pet containment system and decided to give it a try. This has been great for our peace of mind and safety of our pet. During testing we found that even through trees the range is about 800 feet. We have been using this for about a week now and already it seems that our pet is learning the boundaries. I'm not sure what the battery life of the collar is, however it probably depends on how active your pet is, but it easily lasts a full day. One day I even forgot to charge it again and it worked another full day. The range and setup is very simple to use and adjust is easy.

Honestly don’t know what we would have done without this! We live by a busy highway out in the country and we’re very concerned about our dogs getting hurt or killed by the traffic. This solved all our problems! Works great for our two different sized dogs. One is a big lab and the other is a medium size chihuahua mix. Easy to set up and the instructions are really easy to understand. Comes with one collar and you can purchase additional collars separately. Took two and a half months before we needed to change the batteries in the collars. But that was with me SOMETIMES remembering to turn it off at night when the dogs come in to sleep. We probably could have gotten longer use out of the batteries if I had remembered every time.

This system works great for our dogs. we put the collars on and they learned the boundaries pretty quickly. They would hear the beep and we would usher them back across. we saw them get shocked and they learned pretty quickly. we took the collars off for a bit to give them a break (around their necks) and they didn't venture out of the boundary for a long time. but eventually they would - chasing rabbits and etc. so now, we just rotate out. they will wear the collars for a couple weeks and then we might leave them off a week or two (so no rashes or anything form where the prongs are).This unit wears great. will buy again.

I have an older Husky (10years) who has lived in a large fenced yard his whole life. We moved to a new home and did not have a fence, as the land was much bigger than our previous residence. I thought this option would give him more freedom to roam. I was nervous the first day I left him home alone when I went to work, but he learned quickly. He did get the shock some times :( and after that learned where NOT to go. He sticks close to the house and hasn't broken the barrier once. This product is certainly a cheaper option than a fence, and my guy seems to enjoy the freedom to roam. Highly recommend!

After one week, my dog learned her boundaries and didn't even need this anymore. I put it on her once in a while just to remind her. Its SO worth the money to have peace of mind if I am inside and she is outside that she will stay near the house. I took it to my parents house while they were pet sitting and it worked great there too. She knows the boundaries still and doesn't even have the collar on when she's there anymore. I love being able to get ready for work in the mornings and she is outside playing and I don't have to worry if she is staying in the yard. One of my favorite things!

I've used this system about a year now since my two labs were puppies. I have moved during this time and have been very please at both places with it! Easy to train, by dogs respect it and its convenient to set up and move. I had to replace one collar because my dogs were chewing on each other and one of the collars lost the clear plastic button on the top and wasn't working right. Over all I love this system, my male lab is 110lbs and my female is 75lb and they have both been zapped once or twice and are afraid of the beep to the point they won't even test the area outside where I had the flags set up.
