Good product
I’ve used this product to make buttermilk bread in a bread machine for over ten years. It’s also good for other recipes. And you can use it when you want to soak chicken in buttermilk before cooking. The container I received yesterday smelled strongly of chemicals from being shipped with non-food items which reeked of chemicals. It’s likely that the chemicals off-gassed during shipping and transferred to my food items in the same box. I might have to throw this container away because it’s cardboard and it can’t be washed thoroughly to get the chemical odor off. But I will continue to purchase and use this product because it’s so handy. And it can be stored for awhile in the fridge. It’s cheaper than having to buy fresh buttermilk on a regular basis.

Important baking ingredient
Powdered buttermilk is very hard to find in most grocery stores. I was happy to order from this online site. I bake a lot and this is an item that helps me with many recipes

Great flavor and handy!
I love baking with buttermilk but hate the waste when I cannot use it all. When I saw this product and its reviews, I knew I had to give it a try. I've only used it once, this morning, to make buttermilk Belgian waffles following the recipe on the SACO web site (with the addition of some tapioca flour for crunchiness). They were so good and had that wonderful taste of, as you'd expect, buttermilk! It's handy in two ways. First, it's on your shelf when you need it without refrigeration. And, for this recipe, and I believe it's the general technique, you mix the powder in with your other dry ingredients instead of messing around trying to work it into the water first. Glad I tried it. I'm sure I'll find plenty of uses for it.

Great to have on hand “ingredient”
I use this in my waffle and pancakes recipe. Very handy to keep in the fridge whenever a recipe calls for buttermilk.

Convenient for baking
Prepare with water before adding to recipes. Do not add dry, as it does not bake properly; otherwise, a convenient product.
