This is the second cord we purchased for our Alexa and I’m so glad we did. Our Alexa is probably 6 years old and when it first stopped working in 2020 we were devastated. I went on Amazon to see if a new power cord would bring it back to life, and it did! Three years later, we had the same problem, I went back to my archived orders and bought this power cord again. When it arrived, we plugged it in and our Alexa works like it’s brand new! So glad we found this power cord! Don’t throw out your Alexa if it stops working. Buy this power cord, it’s reasonably priced - well worth the money!

We had a power surge that killed the last power supply. It's surprising how you miss something that you barely realize you use. About a week in of asking Alexa for the weather only to be met with total silence I made this purchase. Unlike some of the negative reviews it worked flawlessly on my Gen 1 Amazon Echo.The item description seems to be pretty detailed on what devices it will work on and which it will not. From what I see many of those negative reviews are people who didn't bother to read before purchasing.Likes:Works as expected6 foot cord.Came with velcro cord strap, to wrangle up the extra cord lengthSlimmer footprint than the original with 90 deg offset, so you have more flexibility where it can be plugged in.Dislikes:The cord is a little stiff unlike the original which was rather soft and pliable.

Annoyed I even had to buy this but it works with our echo

This cord replacement brought my Alexa back to life. I bought it several months ago and have waited to review it until I had used it for a good while. I have no complaints. It has a decent length, and my Alexa is working, so I highly recommend it.

Amazon customer service helped to replace a failed cord that came with our Echo. This replacement has been working fine for 2 months so lets hope it lasts longer than the original at 5 months. The irony is the original echo (and cord) was only used a few times because it was intended for use in an area of the house being remodeled. So obviously it was a manufacturing problem. We have a 2nd echo so we trialed that cord to make a quick diagnosis. Customer service was quick to help out and remedy the situation.

This adapter does not fit the 1st Generation Echo at all. Our Echo suddenly stopped working and it appears to be an adapter issue. The connecter on this adapter isn’t even close to the same size as the correct one. It’s extra long and far too skinny. I don’t know if I accidentally was sent the wrong one, but BUYER BEWARE regardless. Now I’m waiting even longer for a refund and getting the correct one shipped to me. Just pay the extra $7 and get the actual Amazon replacement one, and don’t bother with this cheap knock off.The worst part was that the closest drop off location option it gave me was 20 miles away. It does not come with a Kohl’s drop off option or a locker option remotely close to me. Yes, I can print them drop off the damn this to a UPS store, but not having the convenience of using the Kohl’s across the street from me or a locker equally as close is frustrating.

Our cord broke and thought we wouldn’t be able to use our Alexa echo. This worked out well and we can continue to use our speaker.
