My room already had chandelier hooks, so this was a breeze. I knew from other comments that the cord wouldn't and couldn't be woven into the chain, so was very glad that I wouldn't have to figure that mess out. I just twisted the chain around the cord a few times and viola, it looks woven. Really, that's a better choice, weaving it would put a lot of stress on the wiring and lead to eventual shorts, breaks, and in extreme cases, catastrophic fires. Super classy, would buy again... Except I don't need two.Only drawback, the switch is pretty close to the plug. I'd say that if I plugged it into the wall, it would be about a foot lower than where I'd expect it. However, it may just be that the expectation is that the lamp be on a switch.

Product really enhanced my mother in law home in back of main house. We only had small overhead lights that always seemed dim. These really accent the area and make it look more modern. However I thought the would be the size of say a soccer ball, they are much larger but still love them. The cord and dimmer are great features as they can be moved around if you move furniture around also.

The lamp is beautiful, but the chain is not attached to the cord. It clearly shows it woven in and out of the chain in the picture. The seller told me to use zip ties to tie it together to hang up!! Hello--this is going in my living room, not living in a tent or a garage somewhere. The seller send me "installation videos" that clearly show it woven in and out of the chain. Not at all happy with the customer service on this one, and I intend to take this up the chain to Amazon as the seller seems unwilling to listen and understand what I am saying. This is not as advertised. I should not have to do electrical work to remove the cord and install the chain.

The light fixture is very attractive and simple to assemble. The only reasons it gets a lower overall rating is 1) the on/off switch is too close to the plug for the outlet so you have to bend over to switch in on and off. I leave it unplugged and just plug it in to turn it on; 2) the chain for the cord was too short. I purchased another chain separately. That being said, would I purchase it again, knowing the problems -- yes. It seems to be good quality (time will tell), has a dimmer, is a perfect size for the porch. Once we have time, we'll figure out a way to deal with the cord and switch. The outlet would need to be mid-wall.

While it looks ok, the jewel is attached by a cheap wire ring which is not strong enough to hold the jewel and fell off and the jewel broke.

Very easy to put together - absolutely beautiful on. Love it!

For the price this item was exactly what i was wanting! It is dimmable which i did not expect but like! Only thing i dont love is the cord is black and visible along the wall. Also rings are hard to fully tighten to keep shape but seems to stay adjusted once hung.
