Our Bird Is Smarter than Your Bird!
Just kidding. That's not true. But Socrates is an African Grey who will only say "Hello" to us when we approach her cage to either remove the cage cover or put it back on for the night. It took us a while to realize that she/he talked at all because he/she wouldn't verbalize until we left the room. That is when he/she bursts into loud phrases and noises, making our family room sound like a large party is going on.I used the term "he/she" not because I want to be politically correct, but because she was sold to us as a male (hence the name Socrates). However "he" laid two eggs for us and we had to reassess our name for her. But it was too late by then and Socrates remained her sobriquet. She's been with us now for about 27 years. The only problems we've had with her is that she now hates me and will bite me given the opportunity. Not only does she bite but she frantically beats her wings once she has a good hold on me and does her best to tear off a piece of my skin. And this is from a bird who we raised from a fledgling and even fed her from my mouth. We still can't figure out what caused such a dramatic change but now my wife is in charge of her care and has bonded with her nicely. The problem with any caged bird is that they need to be stimulated in order to stay happy and healthy. Otherwise they will periodically pick their own feathers and get that funny bald looking chest that is far from attractive. We change her toys, make sure that she has fresh water twice a day, and give her veggies and fruits in addition to her standard Nutriberry diet. Of course aging affects birds as well as humans and we decided to try this Nutriberry Senior Bird Parrot Food both for variety and possible additional aging benefits.Fortuantely she likes it. We mix it in with her Garden Veggie and Tropical Fruit food just to give her a bit more variety. We also mist her with water every day and take her out at night, putting her perch right next to me so that I can keep an eye on her to avoid any "sneak attack" she might attempt. This combination of the Senior Parrot food and the change in daily activity has allowed her to stop picking and get all of her chest feathers back again. Now if we could only figure out what she's talking about when she has her own multi-voice private talking parties.

Good source of nutrition but ...
I really liked the quality of this food but my parrot is so selective in her diet. hard to expect what she likes and what she does not.

Great for my senior Blue Fronted Amazon's arthritis!
My Blue Fronted Amazon is a rescue and had a damaged wing when I brought her home three years ago. She was on arthritis meds from the doctor, but I did some research and found this product. I've used it ever since. She likes the flavor and I know I'm giving her something healthy. It seems to have helped her arthritis a lot! I'm very happy with this product and would recommend it to all parrot owners!

full of bugs
Very disappointing. The bag had TWO huge holes in the side panel. It has never been opened but is full of bugs. It has been sitting on a shelf since its purchase a couple of months ago, WELL within its expiration date.

These nutri-berries are real
The berries turn to crumbles because the shipping company the person you’re buying it from is not very knowledgeable in shipping practices and ship them in bags. They need to be shipped in boxes that’s what the manufacturer says.
