Honey will spoil when chemicals from plastic leach into honey, how do you sell such an expensive product in a plastic jar, very disappointed, will never buy again!

This honey is extremely expensive at £79.99 for a single 500g jar. This isn’t ordinary honey that you would slap into your everyday recipes this is Manuka Honey harvested in New Zealand and has been scientifically proven to be beneficial to health. It contains a unique active compound MGO(Methylglyoxal) which is primarily known for its antimicrobial properties. Manuka honey comes in various grades which represent the amount of MGO in the bottle. The UMF number can range from 5+ to 20+. This particular bottle has a UMF rating of a very high 18+. The MGO number also is very potent at 696+. Other active ingredients include Leptosperin and DHA.Can be used directly on the skin for minor wound treatment or skin care or can be consumed. I imagine this would work wonders for cough and dry throat. I would just take a spoonful as it is or spread on toast or something, not to dissolve in boiling water as that may kill its active compounds.This particular bottle comes boxed with Special Limited-Edition branding making it perfect for gifting. There is a QR code on the packaging that takes you to details and photographs of the region of production. I can’t give this 5 stars because I can’t personally attest to its health beneficial properties. I have looked around it is normal for high UMF honeys to be very expensively priced.

This is the real deal. Not only is it absolutely delicious, but it's incredibly good for you. I have to ration myself from having this everyday on my toast because it's so damn tasty! Manuka honey is well known for its antibiotic properties, and is great mixed with lemon in hot water when you're feeling under the weather.UMF18+ is a potent honey, and I double checked Steens certification on the official UMF NZ website (the only internationally recognised quality assurance system for New Zealand mānuka honey.) Everything checks out; and not surprisingly given how wonderful it is! Very highly recommended.

It should be in a glass jar not plastic. I won’t buy again because of this

I'm not a honey guy, but understand a little of the health benefits of Manuka Honey. This pot is expensive, but seems like a premium product. I read up on some of manuka's benefits, especially its antibacterial properties. However there is lots to read up about , and you can look this up for yourself. What I need to talk about is its taste, which is wonderful. I was immediately transported back to my childhood, and to my uncles farm. I remembered sitting in front of the fire with a toasting fork, toasting some bread, then slathering it in fresh butter and fresh honey, absolutely delicious, this pot reminded me of that, a slight grainy texture, marvellous taste, and memories. So different to supermarket generic honey, it needs to be tasted to be believed, I would absolutely recommend you treat yourself and try some, real honey!!!

Without knowing what manuka honey is, anyone would be shocked by the price of this honey - but knowing what it is and how delicious and beneficial it is to have, you'd be able to warm up to this hefty price! It has a lovely rich taste which is delicious on food, in teas, or just on its own. It has plentiful health benefits as it has antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. Very happy with this Manuka Honey from Steens!
