Very secure when attached.
I am giving this 5 stars even thought it does not fit on my 2024 Subaru Outback. The front to back depth of the attachment bracket is literally a few millimeters too thick for the space between the mirror body and the pivot arm the mirror attaches to. So when I installed the bracket the mirror was pushed up to the point where I could only see the very top of my rear window. I was installing the bracket from my passenger seat so the steering wheel was not in my way, and I didn't notice the issue until I sat in my driver's seat to pull the car out of the garage. I drove all the way to work without the use of my rear-view mirror just to see how the mount would hold up and it is ROCK SOLID. No vibration, no bouncing or anything. I do recommend this product..... just not if you have a 2024 Outback. The mount is made very well, it is very easy to install. And the minor depth issue can't really be blamed on either the car or the mount... they just don't work together as it is intended to be installed. I have not given up yet though, I am going to see if it is possible to mount the bracket securely to the 'down' arm of the mirror. Who knows.***UPDATE*** The mount is working perfectly mounted to the down arm of the rear view mirror! It took a little bit of stubbornness to make it work where I wanted it... but I had a feeling it would fit and it did! It looks amazing with the radar detector just below the mirror and it is completely solid. I really like how tightening and loosening both ball joints is done by one easy to use handle. I wish I bought this a long time ago.

Works great with our Uniden R7
The media could not be loaded. When the suction cup mount that came with our Uniden R8 basically melted on our window and fell off (we've been in TX and the truck sits outside in the sun all the time) my husband wanted a mirror mount instead but the one he wanted was well over $100 and so I saw this and thought we'd give it a try first. The box is tiny so I didn't have much hope when I first got it and thought it would be getting returned, but it comes with a lot in the box, everything you need to get it mounted. We have it installed in a 2024 GMC Sierra. It took me 2 tries and I was ready to give up on it, but I really didn't want to spend another $100 on the one he wanted so I tried again. Turns out it was more of a user error than anything - I thought I would need the longer screws as I couldn't get the shorter ones around the mirror mount at first, but the long ones were way too long. I finally loosened the short ones clear up until it almost came out and then was able to twist it and got it on. It tightened up well, looks good, and is very adjustable/flexible to fit how you want it, whether it's right up against the mirror or lower so you can reach buttons on top of the radar. It says it works with an R8 and we have one on it now, but it doesn't "lock" on like the R7 does (the R7 fit perfectly, but the R8 is my husbands and the mount we were replacing was the R8 mount). I don't know if something inside our R8 is broke as it also doesn't "lock" on an actual Uniden R8 suction mount that I had ordered before he said he wanted a mirror one instead of a suction mount. So, we just have the R8 pushed on as far as it will go and so far it's stayed and hadn't vibrated or seemed to have moved at all. We've had it installed for probably 3 weeks now, he drives at least an hour a day and goes quite fast (hence the radar) so it's generally not a smooth ride and it's been sturdy and held up so far. I am considering another one for our Jeep Wrangler (with the R7) but the suction mount in that vehicle is still hanging in, but I know what I'm going to replace it with when it gives up the ghost.Bottom line, I'd buy it again and it's hard to beat for the price.

Overall solid, vibrates a bit
I didn’t want to spend $120 on a Blendmount and found this mount and decided to try it.Pros: For the price this is a good deal. The mount holds my Uniden R3 securely on the mirror for my Mustang. The mount that actually attaches to the mirror is pretty slim so you will probably be able to make it work with your car. Also, there are longer hex screws included in case the shaft of your mirror is really large.Cons) For my R3, there is a lot of play between the detector and the metal plate that slips into it from the mount. The metal should be a little thicker ideally. The latch is fully engaged, so it’s not going anywhere, but it vibrates a lot when driving. I would suggest doing what I did which was wrapping some scotch tape around the metal plate (not covering the hole) a few times to make up the gap. This seems to have worked well. Also, there is an allen wrench included but not for the screws you need to tighten down to secure the mount to the mirror. I think it ended up being like a 6/64” wrench or something like that.Overall, this seems like a decent product and the issues are easy to fix. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a cheaper option than a Blendmount. The adjustability isn’t the greatest but is good enough.

Works well and stays tight
Worked great on my Toyota Sienna. Fit is tight and it does not move around. Thought it would be a little heavy and cause me to have to adjust mirror regularly but no issues so far after a couple hundred miles. Adjustment works well. Because of the design the radar detector has enough overhang that it vibrated up and down while driving. Easily fixed this with a piece of foam between the top of the detector and the bottom of the mirror to dampen movement. Problem solved.
