I am rating this 5 stars and will update later. My mom accidentally threw her remote away in a garbage by her bed. When she realized what happened she tried to go to store and tried 3 different remotes that said they did Insignia T.V’s. While she found one that did work a little by going side to side and powered on however it did not go up or down. she then tried to replace it but it did same thing. So after her frustrations I went online and this one said all Insignia’s on description so I ordered her two so that she would have a spare. She called me once she received it and said how nice it was just to put batteries in and everything work! So I give 5 stars for ease. I will update later on quality of how long lasts in 6 mo. If still going strong.

This has been my family's go-to replacement remote. We have a Toshiba Fire TV and my 2 boys are rough on the remote. We have had to replace it multiple times (no fault of the remote). This one pairs instantly with the TV. No set up required which is really convenient if the previous remote is broken before the new one arrives.

Had to find video instructions on Google in order to open the back of the "stick" and insert batteries. The video itself acknowledged that Insignia makes the back extremely difficult to open. Therefore, not the fault of the vendor as it will be a frustration on any of this product. Eventually had to use a blunt table knife to pry the thing open. Closed it, one of the batteries didn't work, and getting the thing open a second time was no easier than the first. Again, bottom line: everything about the product is fine except trying to make it work--thanks to the product designer alone, so there's really nothing any vendor of the product can do about it.

I lost the original remote for my Fire Smart TV and wasn’t sure a third-party replacement would work as well — but this one completely exceeded expectations! No setup needed — popped in the batteries and it was working right away.All the buttons function exactly like the original, including volume, input, and smart features. It feels solid in the hand and responsive. Definitely saved me from buying a whole new remote from the manufacturer.Highly recommend if you need a quick and affordable replacement that actually works!

We have a Toshiba smart tv and we lost our remote. This replacement worked as soon as I popped the batteries in. No programming was necessary. And a great price! Awesome!

Lost the remote for our tv so ordered this one! It was super easy to connect. I haven’t changed the batteries since I’ve gotten it a few months ago. Good controller. Would purchase again.

Works out of the box (after installing batteries) without any pairing to my Toshiba Fire TV.3/4 hot button work correctly but the “DISNEY+” button takes the user to Direct Tv.There doesn’t appear to be any way to correct this so I dinged my review one star because of the faulty button programming.Otherwise everything works and the response time is as good as the original remote.(Note: there are YouTube instructional videos online describing methods to reprogram remote but these instructions are outdated as Amazon no longer allows the ability to download the necessary software to reprogram the remotes.)
