Good and most affordable powder I've seen
Nice aromatic smell and dark in colour so the quality seems good.Just like matcha, you'll need to use around 3 slightly heaped teaspoons if you like your tea on the stronger side.I definitely suggest sifting the powder first and using steaming water to bloom it (not boiling 100°c water) bare in mind the less water you use, the more strong it will be (less is better).Mix with with an electric milk frother (if you're looking to buy I recommend an aerolatte matcha frother for a quicker mix), or a bamboo matcha whisk.Top up with milk or water and nice both hot and cold.

Different but nice!
This is the first hojicha powder I’ve ever encountered, I’m used to just drink loose leaf one. It’s different but it does work! Seein’s cold brew tea sachets were my got to over the summer so I was keen to try something new from them. The powder comes in a resealable, 100 g pouch. Instead of the top, the opening is actually on the side of the pouch. The powder is of dark colour and smells pretty much like loose leaf hojicha, maybe slightly more intense. There is a ton of ways you can use it, make it into a matcha, cold or hot tea, hojicha lattes or add to smoothies or when baking. The current price is £7.99.I like it. I feel like I need to still work on an ideal dosage though, as adding too much powder may create a bitter beverage. My favourite way of drinking it is in a hojicha latte, with hot oat milk and a bit of honey for sweetness. Really, really tasty and a nice change to the usual drinks. The pouch lasts for a long time, you’ll be able to make a good amount of drinks with it. The price is also very decent and so is the flavour. I highly recommend this product 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Just Fine
Not sure what I was expecting from this one as I've only had green matcha before not hoji cha but I remained unimpressed, would much prefer tea leaves than this version.

Distinctive flavour
This powder is akin to matcha in that it's very finely-ground and takes a fair amount of effort to blend smoothly in a hot drink; mixing with a small whisk or chopstick is usually a good bet. The flavour might not be to everyone's tastes, something I personally think of as 'pleasantly' bitter with a nutty roasted flavour to it as well, it can easily become too powerful so you need to pick the right amount for your personal tastes with care and probably a bit of experimentation. My preference is to use milk rather than just water. Like matcha as well it would be easy enough to use this in other things, be it other hot drinks or various foods, although the stronger flavour may limit the options a little more.
