Reliable test
Acids work well for a basic test of your metals. I liked that this set has all the acids required for precious metal jewelry.

Accidentally ordered two sets, but for the price I decided to keep them both. Oddly enough, one of them came in a basic zip lock bag and the other in a very nice and neat box. Same products, but anyway, they have already proven me wrong. I just knew from all the other test, that I had found a rather large gold cross. One place said, nope, just plated. No way, number two, nope, junk. Come on, but before I was going to a jeweler, I wanted to find out just how much it was really worth and prove these hock-it stores wrong.Meanwhile, back at the trash can, these testers work quite well. A little too well sometimes. Good stuff.
