I just spent $150 for a new pool filter. Now that my pool is perfectly clean do I still need this product?

Well, I suppose it depends on your pool. If your phosphates are very high and you start to get algae, then you should definitely invest in this. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't if the chemicals are in balance.

Will this product remove yellow algae stains form the pools walls ?

PR-10000 is used to eliminate phosphates. Algae eat the phosphates and cause the algae to bloom and accumulate along the pool sides. Follow the directions to the letter. It's a great product. Be prepared to clean your filter after using.

The price is for 1 gallon ir 4 gallon in one package ?

Price is for 1 gallon, for the one I bought.

What is the weekly preventative dose for this product? description calls for 1 qt to kill 10k ppb per 10k gal. but does not specify preventative dose.

DO NOT ADD more than 8OZ at a time or it will turn you pool to milk and clog your filter.... take it slow and add 2-4 oz per 10K gal at a time. then retest after water clears until you get below 100 PPB or 0 PPB. clean your filter frequently as the phosphates will precipitate out of solution and are caught by the filter. This stuff works great and leaves a residual in the water but just TAKE IT SLOW otherwise you have a white pool. (20+ years as a pool pro... ~Jason)
