Beautiful new blue Sarb !!!
My twin brother convinced me to get this watch and at the price point at the time so glad I did because price is now well over $100 than what I paid. I was convinced I wasn’t going to like this Seiko dress watch . My collection is all Seiko and Orient diver watches . Once the watch arrived and I unboxed and took one look at the beautiful blue gorgeous dial I was smitten and mesmerized by it . My son who was with me even liked it . It’s got a great quality fit and finish and feel to the watch . The bracelet is nice and feels substantial. The clasp is a milled clasp but a push button deployment that I’m trying to get use to . It’s not like my other Seiko’s that have the fold over safety clasp . The one thing I thought was a little different with the bracelet was that instead of a pin and collar system it has pin and springs . The spring is seated in the middle part of the link like a collar would be . I’ve sized many bracelets friction pin , pin and collar , but never a pin and spring system. It’s a little tricky but the watch did come with a sizing tool with instructions. After a couple try’s I figured it out and was a breeze . This Seiko watch also has a cyclops over the date window. I know many are not a fan of the date magnifier but I actually think it gives the watch a rich and elegant look . All in all very satisfied with my purchase and have been wearing it every day since it’s arrived. A classy beautiful Seiko automatic dress watch and definitely recommend.

Updated— For a seiko automatic it’s running too fast
Update: I previously wrote that it was running about 30s per day fast. Maybe it just needed time to break in but after wearing on wrist for about 2 weeks, it is now about only +\- 5-10s per day. It’s been very close to actual time (I’ve been tracking against atomic clock). Even now, it’s only 4s faster than atomic clock as I write this. Great watch and a great daily wear.Watch was brand new and it is running fast about 30sec a day. 4 days later after synching with iPhone time and it is 2 minutes ahead. Beautiful watch but accuracy is not quite strong suit on this one. But for the price, looks great and wears easy with most everything from casual to business casual. For 2bills you can’t go wrong, but 4-5 might be too much to shell out considering the accuracy on this one. Also, kind of noisy and clanky when you shake around. But don’t notice unless you are trying to shake around. All around beautiful watch but could be more accurate.

Beautiful Watch!
I bought my first Seiko watch in 1974 when I was a cadet at West Point. I still have that watch and it still works! Over the years, I have collected a number of watches from various companies ranging from TAG HEUER and Bulova to Burett, Luminox, Tissot, Timex and Seiko. I favor automatics, and already owned a nice Seiko 5, so when I saw this new addition to the Seiko line, I made the decision to add it to my collection and I am glad that I did. This watch is incredibly beautiful, far more so than it should be at this price point. I have only had it for a few days, but so far it is dead on accurate. I love the long hands and the simplicity of the face. This is a dress watch that hits well above its pay grade. Seiko reliability is legendary, and their styles are really appealing. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend this brand and this model, SZSB014.

My Precious!
I own a Rolex Datejust that I love but it's a bit much for everyday wear. So I bought this little beauty with the see-through back and 4R35B movement. I love the blue dial with the Cyclops date. I know some of you younger guys can't stand the Cyclops but just wait a few years! The lume is great and the dial markers are classic. I purchased this watch over the holidays and got a screaming deal. That said, this watch is worth full value and then some. Seiko makes their watches all in-house and the quality is second to none. I have a Citizen Eco Drive that hasn't seen the light of day since I bought this little puppy. Not to knock Citizen-great product-there's just something about Seiko and mechanical watches in general. I don't write a lot of these reviews and I'll consider this my good deed for the day. Don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed. In case you're wondering-I went with the bracelet because it's costly to add later- but a friend recently gifted me a chocolate plain leather band. Oh what a wonderful world!

Some things to note
The first thing to note is that this watch wears like a dive watch without the bezel. It feels a little chunky, and seems a bit bigger than the dimensions would suggest. A lot of that comes from an unnecessarily long lug-to-lug width. On a medium to large wrist it should be great, but I'd hesitate to recommend it to a small wrist wearer. With this particular model, there is a readability issue in lower-light. Because the lume does not cover the whole hands , the hands and indices look almost identical in lower light. For me, that means I really need to look at the watch a second, and I can't just glance at it.The bracelet is a mixed bag. It's of good quality, with solid end links and a female clasp. Unfortunately, it has no micro-adjust for sizing. Although it has half-links, it might be a problem really dialing-in a perfect sizing. I got it, but your mileage may vary.Other than that, it's a good, solid Seiko watch. The hand-set is particularly cool. The cyclops is just right. Setting and winding it feels crisp and reliable. I got it on sale, and feel good about the value-for-money proposition. The things that make this the right or wrong watch for you are very subtle. It's like buying shoes. Try to get this thing on its intended wrist before making a final decision.
