This tape is very thin -- essentially it's a thin film with robust adhesive on both sides. It isn't easy to get off because it's not supposed to come off! I use it for mounting things where the thickness of many kinds of double-sided tape would be a big problem. I also use it for mounting easily machined material on a small metal-lathe faceplate, and for fixturing material on my CNC mill. I used to always use a very expensive 3M product for this kind of work, but this alternative is much cheaper and surprisingly tenacious. It's almost like glue in tape form.I don't know why the product title includes "Duct" -- this would be absolutely useless and ineffective as an alternative to duct tape. Its purpose is unrelated to sealing ductwork!The order arrived promptly, and I haven't needed to contact the seller, so I can't comment on customer service. This is a great value, and does its job -- sticking things together -- very well.

Got this to deter my two little kittens (3 and 4 months old) from jumping on the kitchen counter, as a early training technique (when I got it, neither had attempted to jump up to the counters). It was easy to apply. After laying down the strips, the white backing came off pretty easily, as other reviewers have mentioned. It happens that I left these strips on my kitchen counters probably three weeks in total, but it was July. Although I'm in the PNW, I have no AC anywhere in the apartment and am on the third floor. It probably gets like 85 in the kitchen. The counter next to the stove and where I use my toaster was SOOOOO difficult to remove. The counter next to the sink was pretty easy to remove. Be aware of this heat factor. I had to use a razor blade to remove the tape on the first (toaster) counter, then a lot of WD40 and a plastic scraper to remove all the lingering adhesive. Took two evenings! And to top it off, my highly energetic THREE month old kitten was able to jump on the counter and didn't care a whit about the sticky feeling. So it didn't deter him at all. The other kitten is smaller and less adventurous and has not yet tried to jump on the counters (and in the mean time I've removed all the tape anyway), so I don't know how she would have reacted to the stickiness.

Bought this to tape down carpet edges and secure some small rubber ramps to a wooden floor for wheelchair access. More information than necessary, perhaps, but this tape hit the mark. I’m used to double-sided adhesive being thick and gooey on both sides. This is as thin as scotch tape, but with a good adhesive on both sides. The cover strip was easy to remove when placing it down (another pet peeve with other double-sided tapes). Haven’t tried to remove it yet, but the adhesive is really thin, so I can’t imagine there’s enough for something to remain behind on the surface. Thumbs up.

I am sure this would work on less porous surfaces. It was recommended when I purchased the Bird house spikes. But luckily after applying this, and realizing it was not going to truly stick to the wood post, I was able to screw in the spikes, Sadly after applying the tape to all the spikes first. I think this would easily work with other surfaces. But not so much on wood. (like it claimed)

I use this to deter my cats from scratching wood in my home and it works! I tried lots of sprays and spent a lot of $$ only to find that this was the best choice!

The roll I was sent was not two sided. It was ordinary moderate duty single sided tape. Don't know what I'll use it for.

Didn’t hold at all

Not heavy duty, just thick. I mean, if all you want to do is stick paper, maybe it is heavy duty for that. As for anything heavier than paper, well not for my project. I plan to return it since I don't want it for just paper.
