Best Water Resistant Locks So Far
Use several of these in our youth baseball league, all in outdoor environments not at all protected from the rain. Never had a problem with these. A bit pricier than others but it's the only one so far that's been reliable. Master makes a big, fancy looking lock that's supposed to be for outdoor use. We tried a 6-pack of those and every one failed. The dials just freeze up on them, you need to bang on the with something or sometimes just cut the lock off entirely. Go with these if you want an outdoor lock.

Long term reliability
Still operating reliably after 15 months of all-weather outdoor use. We had a couple of other brands of locks fail to open after a month or two. Our Abus lock is used by multiple people who are guests at our rental property so we need something that opens easily, regardless of weather.

Majorly Disappointed
Terrible, terrible product. For work I am constantly on the road, and my tools are in a Pelican case which typically rides in the bed of a truck through all kinds of weather. I was looking for a long lasting lock that would hold up to the elements and protect my investment. This was one of the few "marine" locks that I could find with a long enough shackle for my Pelican case. Once the lock came in the mail I set my combination as per the instructions on the packaging. Once I set the combo and went to reopen the lock, nothing happened. Sure enough my combination was not working. I tried the default combination and still nothing. After calling ABUS and leaving a message I turned to searching videos online to find a way to open the lock. I found that the lock was actually pretty easy to open with zero locksmith skills. I simply followed the advice of one of the videos I came across, which was rapidly spinning the combination dials while pulling up on the shackle. After about 10 minutes of doing this while sitting on the couch, the lock sprung open! Although happy to have the lock open, I was disappointed that a $25.00 lock was so easy to manipulate. So now with the lock open, I was able to determine the combination (which was about 8 numbers off from what I had thought I set) that the lock had be set to. I used the included key to once again set my combination. This time I checked the numbers at least 10 times prior to setting it, thinking that maybe somehow the dials shifted during my initial combination input. Success! My combination worked perfectly. I locked and unlocked the lock at least 20 times just to be sure. I put the lock on my tool case and called in a night. This is where it gets good.....The next morning I loaded up my tool box and headed to work. It's important to note my job often takes me to remote locations, where myself and my team work entirely out of my toolbox... Once onsite I go to open the lock, and nothing happens. I check my combination and sure enough, nothing happens. My anger at this point is through the roof, and unfortunately my lock manipulation trick is much more difficult when the unit is installed and I'm standing in the blazing sun. Thank goodness I had a 20V grinder with cutoff wheel on hand, which made quick work of the lock.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. If you don't need the longer shackle than go with the Seasmee marine lock, I have it on other items that stay outdoors and have not had a single issue.

Good locks
Been using these for years and they just work.

SEEMS WELL BUILT
Lock has good reviews and appears sturdy. My only complain is the numbers are too small and hard to rotate. Also, with glare, hard to read. For a locker lock when you lock up your glasses, it becomes an issue.

One-handed unlocking. Quality combo lock
I didn't want to spend nearly $30 on a lock for this outdoor application, but this model appears to be the only thing on the market that fits the bill, and I'm grateful for it.I needed a combo lock for ease of use, especially to share access with others. The application is outdoors in rainy humid Florida. I didn't want to risk a combo lock rusting and seizing up over time, if I were out of town and someone needed access to feed pets. The other combo locks about this size on the market deemed about half the price and half the quality of this one. This a bus lock operates smoothly. I agree with other reviewers that the number dials spin much more easily in one direction than the other, but it works for me so I can live with it.With a single hand, I can lift the lock on it's chain, hold it upside down and enter the code with my thumb, then squeeze the lock closed in my grip so it pops open. This is so handy because I often have the other hand full when I want to get access.

Fabulous product
This is the best combo lock on the market. I have several of them and they have never failed in over 20 years. A little pricey but worth it.
