This is a must buy expansion. If you have to choose one, Forsaken Lore adds so much to the base game and great increase its replay ability.

Eldritch Horror is an amazing game. Tons of replay value. This expansion is a perfect starting upgrade. Adds more assets, scenarios, etc. which only adds to the content. No new mechanics, just more options!

I thought this expansion was a great addition to the main Eldritch Horror game. I have really enjoyed Eldritch Horror and it was nice to be able to mix it up a little bit with this expansion without creating too many changes. Overall I would definitely recommend and it is at a great price as well.

I got the basic game of Eldritch Horror for Christmas and LOVED it. However the game should probably have had these cards in it to begin with, but I'm not complaining. :-) After a few plays of the game you start to see some "repeats" in the encounter cards and research cards. This inexpensive add-on supplement takes care of that. There have got to be hundreds of new mythos, research, clue, encounter & asset cards in this small expansion (the whole package, box & all, is about the size of a large paperback book). It adds a lot of depth to an already outstanding game!

For the money this expansion is very worth it; it adds a ton of base game expansion content on top of the new Eldritch boss. That being said, this expansion also makes the game exponentially more difficult with its new encounters. Many encounter cards it adds to the game only have negative outcomes and/or more brutal punishments than the base game content, which really throws off the balance of the game. Monsters that were once moderately difficult to beat now result in the death of several investigators more than previous, which usually equates to defeat. I definitely think this expansion is worth it, but I would invest in other expansions first that add more beneficially content to the game such as stronger characters.

This is the first expansion for Eldritch Horror and is a 'small box' expansion. It adds another elder god along with the matching mystery cards. It also adds more cards to all the existing decks, which greatly adds variety to game play. In essence this is just a "more of the good stuff" expansion - it doesn't change game play but adds lots of what already makes the game so great. A MUST HAVE if you like Eldritch Horror.

Such an easy add-on to the base game that increases the versatility and ability to replay the game.
