There's this recipe from KingArthur for Butter Snaps that I wanted to try and it requires a 1 teaspoon scoop so I ordered this one.It worked great. The dough was sticky and the scoop dealt with it. Machine washable. It seems of similar solid construction to the scoops I've had for years and years.

This is a great little scoop. Great for making cookies. I bought several sizes for different cookies and they all work great. They wash well, and release the dough easily. I have been very pleased. They were a good buy!

It's just the perfect size for cookies. Made scooping cookies much easier and faster. I'd call them good sized medium cookies, not huge, not small. ...but that has my personal preference dialed into the answer. It's what we wanted. Makes nice consistent sized cookies. Something to help with Christmas cookie season. Yea Cookie Season!We've only used it a few times, so I can't really talk about how durable it is, but I bought this one because it looked to be able to stand up to some stiff batter. It looks like many scoops are quite flimsy. People have high expectations for the mechanism clearing virtually frozen batter. I looked for one that looked better.For us, No issues, just great cookies.Great answer....After another season of great cookies, the #40 makes about a 3 inch round 1/2 inch thick cookie. A good sized cookie, but not huge. I liked it enough to buy several for the family. Still a great answer.

I have arthritis in my hands and these scoops do not bother my hands to squeeze them, they release the balls smoothly! Makes prepping much quicker and I love that what I'm making; either it be coolies, candies, meatballs, melon balls, etc., the presentation of them all being the same size is nice. I like the non-slip material used for gripping.
