My mom loves it!
Bought this for my mom for Christmas. She loves it! She has several small picture frames and hangars and this is perfect for printing the photos to go in those frames. The unit is small and ultra portable, easy to connect to an iPhone, the app used for printing (required) is pretty straight-forward. Instructions say to CHARGE PRIOR TO FIRST USE--charging seems to be pretty quick.FYI: The unit is a 4 pass printer! When you print a photo, it puts the ink on in layers--the photo comes out with one layer, goes back in, gets another layer, and so on. Finishes up with a really nice glossy clear coat. That was weird for us the first time we used the printer--I had never seen a printer like that before. LoL!

Yes, some pictures can be dark, but it is still a good product
We got this for our kids to make a scrapbook while on vacation. It works well and is easy to use. Yes, some pictures can come out a little dark, but if you just edit/lighten them a little before printing, they look great. Plus, if you get extra cartridges for the Kodak Mini 2, the pictures print on photo paper with a sticky back, making it easy to put in a scrapbook without the need for glue. It connects easily to your phone through the app, and the pictures print quickly. The charging cable is a micro USB to USB, making it easy to connect to other devices/adapters for charging.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on Kodak!!!
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this product and even more so with Kodak customer support. I remember when the Kodak brand actually stood for something. I will never purchase a Kodak product again.Purchased this unit in 2020 and used it to print less than a cartridge of pictures. It worked fine at the time. I have not printed anything since. Attempted to print a couple pictures of my kids today with new cartridges and nothing but prompts to insert new print cartridge. I wasted more $$$$ on defective cartridges today than what the actual printer was worth. So either the cartridges are defective or the actual printer is dollar store quality and defective. Either way, if you experience any issue, app just continuously prompts you to insert a new cartridge. For a business model that’s built on repeat cartridge customers, unit itself should last more than 10 picture prints. Or maybe it’s just a money grab at this point.

Works as expected, nice to have
This is great for taking on the go when you want to share a fun moment with someone, easily print it out!The app Kodak uses is a bit antiquated, and it takes about a minute to print a photo fully, but then again I wouldn't expect a handheld printer to go any faster.I wish the photo quality matched that of the image on the phone. The quality of the photos isn't bad, but not 10/10 either.Worth it? Maybe. Depends on if you're the kind of person that likes to have/hold an actual photo... I am, and I enjoy this product a lot.

Pretty good prints, but no cartridges ATM
So like the other reviews have stated, as of January 24, 2018, there are no refill cartridges available anywhere online (not even on Kodak's website). I placed an order for them with BH Photo & Adorama (they're both back ordered), and I'm hoping they'll restock and arrive in the next month or so. To some extent, it's not all that surprising because it seems the Mini 2 only launched recently. That said, it's REALLY annoying that Amazon recommends a bundle with cartridges that DO NOT FIT! (seriously, what the heck is up with that, Amazon!)That said, the device itself still functions pretty well. Getting it to sync with your phone is a little bit tricky at first, but I managed to get it to connect without much issue. I noticed that photos taken with low lighting are printed a little darker than they appear on your mobile device, but photos taken outdoors or in good lighting are pretty closely replicated in the print. The app lets you adjust exposure, though, so I'm not all that concerned with slightly darker prints.I had contemplated a couple other options that use ZINK technology, but ultimately opted for the Kodak Mini 2 because of it's reliable printing technology. The pictures do come out really clear and pretty accurate in color (minus the exposure issue at times). If I had known the Mini 2 cartridges were unavailable, I would've gotten the older version of this (Kodak Mini). I just like the smaller size and design of the Mini 2 when I made my final decision. So if you don't want to deal with waiting for cartridges to come back in stock, check the Kodak Mini out!

It was worth the risk
I read both positive & negative reviews and decided that I would give it a shot. Works great! I have not had any jamming issues, but I am still on the original set of photo paper that came with it. The colors are good and I am pleased with the quality. The app was easy to install and get going. I am very pleased!

Finally ... A Better Alternative to Zink Pinters
I’ve been looking for a better quality portable printer for use in my journal while traveling. The poor quality prints from my Zink paper HP Sprocket has been making me crazy. So happy to have found the Kodak. The prints are far better, as they lay down CMY colors (like the Canon Selphy). It’s not a 5 star print by any means ... it tends to crush the shadows and blow the highlights, but the colors are truer and for a portable 2x3 print solution, it’s a great choice.
