PC Hasn't disappointed me yet.
Quality and value. It sounds goofy but, yea. the sintered gear in the drive sounds perfect and quiet. Good torque, stays cool, switch is not undualy cumbersome. I think it may have been 40 bucks at the time. Better than the medium quality Sears I bought 15 years ago. Far better than the 15 dollar harbor freight I have. Close if not equal to my Bosch. It will be the next one if I need a sixth one.

Porter Cable all the Way
I love Porter Cable, I'm a Porter Cable freak. I even wrote them to see if they have any branding that I could hang in my shop! no dice. Honestly I'll use this a hand full of times a year for power carving, and what I love about Porter Cable is that it's a sound, reliable and constant producer of fine results. This has the torque you need without fuddling with an air compressor. It has a very comfortable hand grip and rests well in the palm. I don't care for the power toggle though, the on/off function is awkward because to turn off you have to push the toggle then flip the switch...for safety reasons I find that excessive. BUT - cool product Porter Cable, keep it up and I'll keep buying it up.

Second Porter Cable tool both good
I don't think this is the most ergonomically designed tool but it worked correctly out of the box. I installed two sinks in granite with it, and it never offered to overheat. It provided solid even power to the blade. I had no issues with blade installation or the safety shield. If you do not do any great deal of work that you need an angle grinder for, this is a cost effective solution that performs quite well for the price. By the way, I have been using a Porter Cable reciprocating saw for remodeling work for 15 years and it's still fine. I expect based on the limited use so far that this one will be equally reliable.

It grinds just as long as the ones costing 4 times more.
Best deal out there for a grinder. I’m very hard on power hand tools. I’m not trashing them or throwing them down hard, or pushing too hard, l just use them daily. I use them and expect them to work as hard as I do. Most tools I buy, sadly, don’t measure up. I know I’m buying a low cost grinder here. That said, how long should a low cost grinder work for if all it’s doing is grinding steel? 2 years, maybe 3 years? I’m lucky if I get 6 months out of it. You may ask why I don’t buy a better grinder? I have, many times, and these last just as long as the ones that cost 4 times as much. So, is it me, or the tool companies that no longer make a quality tool that lasts doing the job it’s only designed to do? I don’t know, but I’ve decided that for the money this is the only grinder I’m going to buy. It will last just as long as all the others and if it’s going to die in 6 months anyway, why spend the extra money! I would gladly buy a nicer tool that not only works, but feels good in the hand, and also lasts, but I have not found one, at least not a hand grinder.
