Soft little sponge filter is working very well. I expect it to last a good while.

The media could not be loaded. Bought this in addition to the main filter hoping between both of them it will help reduce scum.

The second time I had to get one of my Otos out of the tube on top of the filter, I threw the tube away. It's large enough for the fish to get into but not get out. The filter itself is fine but that tube on top is a fish trap.

Works great as bubbler and adds small amount of filtration but would not plan on having this replace your normal filter if normal fish.

I got a betta fish for my class pet and our first fish got sucked up into the filter and died after a week of having it. I got a second fish and everyone told me that the betta doesn't need a filter, but I felt more comfortable having one so I did some research and found this filter! It's great because it bubbles and adds oxygen to my water and it keeps the tank somewhat clean. It has been a great purchase and I am so glad that I found this. It's not going to keep the tank clean like a bigger filter, but it definitely helps. Thank you so much!

I thought this was a filter that I could hook up to an aerator to filter the water, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how the physics of that would work now that I’ve put it together. I didn’t do anything to help with the water, it was just a weight, holding down the end of the aerator. Since the aerator came with a stone that fit better and was smaller, I switched back to that and got myself a real filter.

I buy these based on how easy they are to replace vs. cleaning hanging type filters. In and out and done!
