Splendid Little Robot
What's not to like? Excellent value for money. This robot mower is easy to operate and install. Border detection is very good. More or less any small barrier will be detected as will flowers, shrubs and paving. Battery life is terrific, up to 4 hours. The mower cuts an area about 10m square in about an hour so the mower can easily accommodate say a front lawn and back lawn. Once turned on, it trundles away quite happily. The spiral mode is good for cutting a selected area of the lawn and the random mode causes the lower to follow a self created pattern as it wanders over the surface. Battery recharges in only an hour or so.. Light and easy to carry. Software updates are available from the support web site from time to time. Highly recommended.

Fantastic results, great time-saver
I bought this a while ago and thought I would test it out before revewing. One of the best purchases I have made and definitely value for money. It's very easy to use, very quiet so mowing the lawn on a Sunday morning doen't disturb the neighbours! No more grass cuttings to dispose of! Make sure the grass is short by giving it a conventional mow a few days before as it doesn't seem to like long grass. After that, I use it about twice a week to keep the lawn looking short and neat. It takes about 3 hours to cut a small lawn and looks like it is moving randomly but the end effect is brilliant. It does recognise all but one edge in my garden. This is in the front on an open driveway, no garden walls. I had to retrieve it when it veered off down the pavement! I overcame this by putting a few spare house bricks in its path and this did the job. I have confidence in it now that it won't go wandering and feel more relaxed about just leaving it to do it's job instead of watching over it. I do still have to occasionally strim the edges as it leaves about 15cm uncut. A couple of my neighbours are impressed with the results and how effortless it looks to keep a lovely neat lawn and now intend to buy one!

What a clever machine
Bought this mainly as a test, there are many that are much more expensive on the market but this one was highly rated and relatively inexpensive. I was in & out of hospital, my wife was away for a month and the grass wouldn't slow down. The lawn wasn't 100% suitable at first - would sometimes fall off the edge into a border - so I had to keep a watch on it (which was much easier than getting the lawnmower out & cutting it myself!).Started out using the mower in "Spot-Cut" mode, thinking that would be easy, but after a few minutes it seems to get bored going round in circles so just hares off in whatever direction it pleases. This meant I had to chase off after it before it did a lemming & dive over the lawn edge. Shame 'cos an ever increasing circle would have eventually got the whole lawn cut in few tries. Now we have installed an edge border (which is, incidentally, what the manufacturer recommends in the handbook) and everything is great! Takes 2 batteries to do my lawn and it's almost perfect - quite fun to watch, but frustrating due to its random rambling nature, seeming to prefer parts of the lawn that it has already done. Sometimes it is heading straight for one little missed clump of grass but then annoyingly stops for no apparent reason and heads off another way! Also gets confused occasionally by strong shadows. All in all quite a character bumbling around the garden.I liked the idea of not needing a buried wire guide or "garage charging station" and now we have a miniature border fence it proves that you don't need one (lawn looks much better with the fencing and the hedgehogs are still turning up most nights). Other wildlife not bothered at all and the birds seem to be fascinated by this little orange trundler. It makes only the slightest buzzing as it wombles merrily on its way.An extremely good and useful purchase - as long as it will have a long life ahead. I'd highly recommend this little machine - even as just a means of easing the grass-cutting task. There are 2 sets of blades supplied with it (shame they can't easily be sharpened - and be careful as they are razor sharp when new), so I ordered spares from the agent: very quick & efficient service, inexpensive and with free postage - what's not to like? Brilliant and thank you for the machine - lifesaver!

Not setup required and good outcome
This mower works really well. No setup is required, just charge the battery and that’s it. The best garden purchase I have made. The lawn is always neat.Pros: 4 hours battery, enough to do a 3-400 sqm garden, no wires, can store it away, easy to operate, good value for money.Cons: sometimes it struggles with zones of shades and bright sunlight. If the mower is in a shady spot, then it stays within it. If in a sunny spot then it does not go to the shady spot. It eventually does the garden but perhaps not as efficiently as it could. It would also be good to have an option to reduce the margin of safety. It leaves a border about 15-20cm wide near edges so it is a bit over cautious with that. The cons are just for information and the benefits of not having to spend time mowing the lawn nor collecting the grass clippings are so worth it. Definitely recommend this one.
