Excellent IR function
I don’t even use it as a phone lol. Infrared function is accurate and excellent. I will say it recalibrates often, freezing the output for a few seconds. I love it

Decent tool, bad phone, terrible software, worse support
I had my G1S for almost 2 years before I dropped it on its face while doing I-Beam pullups and shattered the screen. Oops! A bummer, but after surviving similar treatment for 2 years, I could hardly be mad.I contacted AGM for repairs, and after being routed through a couple rounds of "not my department," I ended up talking to AGM Global, the Amazon side of AGM, apparently. I asked them where I can send the phone for repairs and how much it would cost. They agreed that it would need to be repaired at their repair center and it would indeed cost something, and even offered me 20% off a new one - But provided no address, no price, and no coupon.I have now had this same conversation with them three times, and I am not closer to knowing where the phone needs to be sent nor how much repairs will cost, so I quit. I'm jumping ship. Maybe CAT or Doogee will treat me better, or maybe I'll just give up and get a Pixel and a FLIR attachment. All I can say about the experience of having the phone is that having a thermal camera handy is great. I can help my friends fry chicken, find cats under beds, make sick album art, identify overheating motors at work, and even see studs in the walls! I haven't really tried any of the other brands of thermal camera enabled phones, but I HAVE tried other phones, and I must say...AGM is not very good at making phones. The camera app will lag for anywhere from 2 to 15 seconds if you forget to turn the autodetect flash feature off, which is on by default every time you open the camera. The screen is too dim to read in broad daylight. The GPS will spasm and stutter at random, sending my poor maps icon careening sideways through neighborhoods and along frontage roads. The thing worked, it just sucked to live with. Its one party trick, the thermal camera, is awesome, but if you need the basic features of your phone to be reliable, look elsewhere. I don't know where, but not here.Maybe the Glory Pro 2 is better.

As good as any
I've been using this for several months now. The only problems I have had is that the phone will not run many google apps, such as maps. Rather odd for an android device, but I have found other software I like better. I have problems with my hands, and drop my phone several times a day. So far, nothing but some scrapes on the housing.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid
The only useful bit of this phone are the cameras. If you need this to be a smartphone, then avoid. It’s an old non-updated operating system. The phone speaker it useless to hear anyone without using ear buds or going into developer mode to find ways to force the max volume. It only works on T-mobile’s network, and even that seems to limp along and is connected to the network less often than any Devices in the family. Forget group texting, everyone will have to be on a third-party app if you want to keep in contact. In the end, it’s a $600 thermal camera with spotty internet access and some apps. Android auto won’t even connect.Completely regret this purchase.

5G Connectivity not working at this time
So, this is a good phone. The build quality and software seem to be noticeably better than my old Blackview BV8900 Pro - another rugged thermal capable phone. However it has some issues that may be a dealbreaker for you.The thermal imager easily walks all over any of the FLIR lepton sensors in other rugged phones. The resolution is good enough that you don't need the visible image overlay to recognize what you're looking at, and the refresh rate is way faster. From my short testing, this thermal imager does what they claim it does, and it's probably the best imager ever deployed in a phone at this time. The other features are handy, the audio is good and loud, and the touchscreen seems better/more accurate than my old phone. I've taken it in the shower and washed it under the sink as well without any issue whatsoever. If that's all you care about, you can stop reading here. The issue that I have with this is that 5G capability is not working at this time. I've tried it with Verizon (wasn't expecting it to work, though 4G and texting work fine. WiFi calling does not). I've also tried it with Mint (an MVNO operating on the T-Mobile network). On Mint, I was also only able to get 4G LTE and text, but couldn't get WiFi calling working, nor 5G.So I went and did a month prepaid plan from T-Mobile. Same story - Verizon has significantly better signal out on the fringes where I live, though I was able to get WiFi calling working briefly, it seems to have stopped working. And no matter what I do, I cannot get 5G running. Various cellular analyzer apps says that it is trying to connect to 5G non standalone (NSA) but that 5G is not connected and was still in 4G LTE mode. Without being able to get in there and see the modem logs, I can't say for sure what the issue is, though AGM acknowledges there is a problem here and that they are trying to solve it. Hopefully an update will fix this up and this phone will be truly outstanding, but we're not there yet.
