Makita 191R00-0 Rapid Load Bump & Feed Trimmer Head

I bought this additional trimmer feed so that I could have an additional spool loaded, original works great. It is easy to install line into the bump head and replace the empty one on the trimmer.

This is easy to change and helps me keep on trimming should I run out of trimmer. Very easy to load.

It's impossible to find the replacement head for the kobalt trimmer as it seems to be discontinued, but luckily, the top 2 pieces fit perfectly which is all I really needed. I tried changing the base part as well, but the threading seemed to be a bit different so it wouldn't screw in, so I left the old base on and just replaced the bump plastic and spool holder parts and they are pretty much identical to the original one, except for the makita labeling.

Could not locate any available to purchase Kobalt 80V String Trimmer Head, manufacturer told me can only now to be purchased from Lowes. Always out of stock. Found an online review that stated it would fit my exact model (Kobalt model KST 140XB-06 , now listed as Lowes Model # 2908003, Item #1315033, purchased March 2016). Read you might have to replace the top nut/screw but worked for them. Worked perfectly for me and didn't have to replace the top nut/screw with another. Hoping this helps others trying to find a match.

I bought my Makita string trimmer a year or two ago, and was plagued by the string jamming and felt like I was constantly tinkering with the head. Half the time, the string wouldn't feed out when I tapped it mid-use, and that is because the string was jammed on the inside. Once I replaced the head with this unit, all of those problems went away. No more jamming, easy refreshing, and simple to reload.I did have a little trouble locating it from a reliable seller. I tried buying it directly from a hardware store in the midwest that I found online, only to be informed that they were out of stock and weren't expected to be getting more this season (after a month of waiting).Also, unlike other third-party manufacturers who make replacement heads, this one doesn't add any additional noise while spinning compared to the default one.I hope Makita is smart and is using this redesigned head on all of its new string trimmers.

Finally got around to replacing the head on my makitatrimmer. Or so I thought. Doesn't fit. Bummer

It was easy to install on my Makita Cordless trimmer. Seems to be much sturdier than the stock trimmer head. It was easy to load the trimming string, and it seemed to feed from the head smoothly. I have only used it a few times since the purchase, but am satisfied with it so far.

Cost was good, replacement of old one and installation of new was was easy and it feels string easy!
