If you travel or charge your phone while away from home you should have these devices with your charger. They are well made and do exactly what they say they do. They are a very cheap price to pay for your peace of mind and the security this product offers.

These are sturdy units with an aluminum case. Ordered a 6 pack and all tested out. Would buy again.

Simply do not plug your phone or laptop into an unknown USB charging port without one of these. This device allows charging, but blocks data. It’s that simple. You get the charging power you want and expect without the risk of anyone accessing your data.Yes, as others have noted, the USB receptacle on these is a bit tight. But it’s not unreasonable. And why would you ever take this thing off of your charging cable anyway? There is no penalty or disadvantage to having this on a charging cable (obviously, it renders a sync cable unusable).My complaint/suggestion: I wish the manufacturer would label this thing “Data Blocker.” Right now, they have no label on them.In conclusion: yes, you do need these and you want a pack of five, probably more.
