Quality and Precision.
These wire strippers are precision ground and very sharp. No more yanking the insulation from wires and damaging the conductor in the process.I have tried lots of wire strippers across a wide spectrum of pricing and these are probably the best value ones I've used. They can handle 22 gauge wire upwards (16 gauge max, I think) and are great for the professional and hobbyist alike in electronics or electrical installation. There's a handy thumb operated catch to lock them in a safe closed position as they are lightly spring loaded to aid use. They are made from hardened steel and have comfortable textured rubberised handle grips with hanging holes at the ends of the handles. Due to the design it's possible to use them to strip very short lengths of insulation which would be impossible using automatic wire strippers due to design limitations. Great value for a quality product.

The best wire strippers I have come across
These are easy and reliable to use. Being Japanese the build quality is excellent. The handles are comfortable and look and feel resilient. From reading a 2015 review I expected the spring to be weak. Evidently someone in Osaka took note and rectified the issue; my spring is fairly strong (but not too stiff).Probably most buyers use these in electronics but my interest is in modelling. So it might be useful to know that the metric wires that can be stripped are: 0.25, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.65, 0.8 and 0.95mm diameters. Plenty of metric wires are 1mm and the 0.95mm dia setting works fine.

Excellent, they handle finer wire than most of the alternatives
These are excellent. They're well made, precise and they can strip finer wire than some of the alternatives, they go down to 34 AWG (0.25 mm). This is fantastic because they can even handle the very fine wire wrap wire that I use for connections on PCBs when building electronics. Highly recommended if you're constructing anything with fine connector wire.

overall good but nut became loose
After a year or intermittent use, these strippers didn't close fully. This meant you couldn't engage the locking tab nor close them properly to strip. You had to manually separate the two edges at the end so they closed properly. I figured out that it was the nut on the joint that had worked loose, which is rather unusual for a pair of pliers 1.5 yrs old, so I tightened up the nut and they were ok again. Precision state not to tighten up with wrench on both sides but to use wrench and allen key, or u can break the pliers. This aside, they are ergonomically comfortable to use and whilst it is not stated if they are insulated or not, the thermoplastic grips should provide some degree of electrical insulation. So fairly good but room for improvement. In hindsight I should have bought the pair for thinner wire but then again i was working with thicker cables for a while so I probably need another pair for thin stuff.

Good , quality tool.
Works very well without removing any conductors whilst still cutting through the insulation. Ideal for stripping fine wires prior to crimping.

Wire strippers
I have several pairs of wire strippers but this pair is my go to.I held off reviewing these as I wanted to make sure they stayed sharp which they have.
