Poor instructions made up by quality materials and fun to assemble!
Apart from the instructions being unclear and diagrams so small I could hardly understand them even under magnification, the kit was so fun to put together and it works great!

Fun and challenging kit
I've only recently learned how to solder as part of a short class at school, so it did take me a couple of hours to put this kit together. Luckily though, it worked the first time I tried to turn it on! The sound over the speaker is okay for what it is (I didn't expect it to be fantastic). Overall I think this is a really great DIY kit to improve your soldering skills and see how a FM radio actually works. It's nice they included the schematic for the circuit, and I recommend using the included QR code to bring up the instructions on your phone...otherwise the printed pictures are very small and hard to see.

Almost great
Case doesn't properly line up with ports and buttons (yes they're installed correctly). Display doesn't work correctly, parts of every digit is missing. Otherwise a great build.

Defective power selector switch
Left 1 star as a key component (power selector switch) is defective leaving the assembled radio requiring an inward press on the power selector switch to stay on. Not sure how to get a replacement part and I can’t return the kit as it is fully assembled :(

A great project, or even as a gift.
I love this radio kit, rather easy to solder together if you know how. It receives a great signal if you are outside or near a window. It makes a great gift for someone to put together or as a finished product.

Great project
Great project for those who wish to start soldering, I had issues with the instructions not being perfect but once you notice and begin to understand the markings on the pcb it becomes alot easier, the small chip on the bottom right of the board was challenging, but if your like me and enjoy being tested then this is the starter kit for you!

Not good for beginners
I'm new to soldering and wanted a little hand holding. This is not something for beginners. The directions are roughly translated from Chinese and in the tiniest font imaginable. Not a fun experience and I'll have to find something else to help me as a beginner

Fun little project, easy to assemble and is great for practice of all types of soldering!
The project took me about an hour and a half or so to assemble and it was a fun little project. It teaches you how to surface solder, a little bit of micro soldering along with plenty of connections to provide a good learning experience. Now I didn't use instructions as I've assembled a dozen of these now and the board/parts are marked so well, you can step it up this way and still be successful! My only minor gripe is the tinny sound and the fact the unit starts at a level 7 sound which is LOUD. Still fun to use though:)Edit: I tried the headphone jack on the radio and was very impressed with the sound quality, especially when using old Bose Quiet Comfort 15s or earpods. Also found seeking to work very well outdoors but indoors, it can skip by stations but it's still easy enough to tune in manually.
