No specs? OEM white box overrun with no warranty?

What's the height (thickness) of this drive?

7mm. It ships with a 2mm spacer, in case you need one.

Why do they not recommend it for Macintosh? I want to use it in my iMac.

some Imacs depending on year and model have fan speed and control issues. Very noisy. You need software like HDD fan control to keep it quiet or buy the new fan cable that OWC carries and have it installed.

Is it compatible with macbook pro 2012 (non retina) model?

I would expect it to be compatible as its the right form factor and interface
