Sort of. You won't be able to play Xbox series s/x games directly from this drive. You will be able to park games in it so you won't have to download them again.

Can you play PC games directly from this 16tb Firecuda hub

These higher capacity drives are designed for storage whether offline or online. I keep my data offline, and when I need to, I add further data or retrieve it from the drive. I have 10TB high speed external and internal drives for everything else. I would recommend if you don't have SSD's to look into one or two, you won't be disappointed (just make sure they have very fast read / write).
