Q: Will these be good to pin homer awards and other patches to my home depot apron?

Dont waste your time at depot, i had over 150 homers and several customer calls to corporate telling praise. One day depot fired everyone that made over 15 bux per hour with no warning, then they fought unemployment for 6 mos. I was the tech in tool rental at the Ann Arbor Mi store for 4 years. But since you'll ignore my advise, depot sells saftey pins... although carribeaners (spelling) work better.

They seem about as strong as any other safety pins I have used. If the material of the train is heavy, I might go with some larger, sturdier pins than these.
