What is a "Mental Plate Frame" ?

It is a plate frame that has lost its mind from all the road rage, and belongs in a mental institution. Also apparently can rust.

I'm confused; Some of the answers to questions says there is only one(1) license plate frame? The product description clearly says there are two(2) ?

You can select if you want 1 or 2 pack. Some people bought 1, some bought 2. You are on the option that says 2 pack.

Does it come with mounting screws?

No, it does not come with mounting screws, but the plate holder is nice. It is made well and looks great. Very low profile. Excellent seller and customer service too.

Amazon is suggesting a plate frame with this. Is that necessary?

I am not sure what Amazon is suggesting but these are a license plate frame themselves. I put one on my wife’s car that had no frame previously (plate just screwed to car) and one on mine, replacing the dealer’s advertising plate frame. Got them for Christmas, both are working fine.
