Great sharpener but the instructions need improvement
As said by others, this is a great sharpener. I was looking at the Worksharp Ken Onion or the WS v2 but both are a little out of my budget as a non-pro and just wanted for taking care of a few kitchen knives and pocket knives. The kit supplied is pretty decent. A good selection of belts are included which appear to be decent quality - the Worksharp ones look to be a direct swap once these are spent as they are the same width and length overall. You can see how they have cut the price down versus the WS Ken Onion version - all plastic construction vs metal (particularly around the motor housing) it just all feels a bit like a cheap power tool in comparison. The duty cycle (amount of time it can run in an hour) is comparatively low versus the competition, however it does the job very well, it was easy to use once I got the hang of it and watching some videos of the alternative item - the instructions in the box just don't really detail how to use it properly by a long way! Functionally the same as the Ken Onion version, so worth reading their far more detailed guide to get the knack of how to use it.I did my knife block of kitchen knives in about an hour including learning how it worked - 6 knives of various sizes, and did each one starting with the lowest grit belt to get rid of some knicks and shape them at 20 degrees one by one. Then refined each in turn finishing with 1000 grit belt. I found it easiest to just do all of them before changing the belt for the next, though it is quite easy to change the belts once you get the hang of it.All in all, very happy with the sharpener it has got my good quality Sheffield steel knives beyond how they arrived originally - they are "cat claw" sharp including the points to the point they basically cut into the foam packaging this came in with just the lightest of touches. We will see how long it lasts and I also plan to try the grinding mode on my lawnmower and brush cutter blades once the good weather returns.

Game changer
As professional chef.. we need quick and good sharpening. This does it. Just in few mins i got sharpen 10 knives. A few need more attention but it will get it. For the price what it does its an excellent choice. Quick belt change, adjustable rpm is very good thing to have. Thank you. I wont regret this purchase.

Edge master 5000.
This bit of kit can really put a wicked edge on your knifes for a fraction of the price of some name branded ones. I have used it quite a few times and each time it impresses me just how good of an edge you can get in seconds. The product is very versatile and can be used to sand or sharpen almost anything within reason. It has plenty of speed/power and I have never needed to crank it on to full. The button has a handy lock feature so you can work with both hands. The belt rollers are adjustable so you can work at different angles if required and it also has adjustment for the alignment of the belt itself. It comes supplied with a good variety of belts maybe 25 in total ranging from about 120 or 240 up to 1000 grit. The adjustable sharpening angles seem to work pretty well so far for me. So the negatives of which I found it to have 2, the first one can be worked around easily and its the power cord isn't very long it seems decent quality cord but maybe a few extra feet would have been nice. Second and this is probly the worse is the sharpener has a tendency to scratch your knifes, this happens as you draw your blade against the angled plates while sharpening. I think this is from particles of grit from the belt gets dislodged and settles on the guides and as you draw the knife through it scratches them. I use a paint brush to dust inside the jaws/guides to remove anything that may cause scratches, and then use some masking tape to cover the face of the guide to try eliminate scratches from happening. This is somewhat effective but not totally fool proof, but this is only an issue if you care about scratches on the blades.

Best knife sharpener I've used, easiest to get a sharp Knife at least
I've tried lots of different ways to sharpen my kitchen knives, whetstones, diamond sharpeners, pull through devices, bench mounted jigs and even bench grinders. All worked to a degree but none were as easy and repeatable as this one.I'm sure with enough time and patience some of the other methods above could be learned to the point that they would give a better edge but this machine gets me more than sharp enough with very little effort and very little skill, I wont be buying any other systems now I have this

Excellent machine
Used as a substitute for a Worksharp Ken Onion and even takes the grinder attachment but could be a little better machined, still works well and does the job I bought it for. Highly recommended.

Fiddly to use
I've got Japanese knives with a 15 degrees cutting edge so this show have been ideal, but it's really fiddly to use especially having to swap all of the belts over to get the ultimate finish. It does sharpen tho
